Well if Kylie and Girls Aloud etc are deemed acceptable at rock festivals nowadays in the UK, then i guess anything is possible.

With the correct type of setlist and the right attitude theyd be able to 'fit in' alright i say. Maybe not in the festivals aimed at the younger audiences like leeds+Reading but Isle of White and Slane would be cool i guess, and the V festivals backed by Virgin Radio could work.

Slane here in Ireland had a huge sellout for Bryan Adams a few years back, and Bruce Springsteen, Robbie, RHCP/Foos, Queen, GNR, REM etc all had a big turn out and theyr all pretty mainstream.

I honestly can't see them playing a festival ever again, especially in the UK.
Jon was put on the spot when asked about it on Virgin, and just gave a very vague answer of 'maybe' or words to that effect.

The country project appears to be just a Jon & Richie hing.... meaning that if 'Bon Jovi' were to perform next year it would be promoting the Greatest Hits...which is gonna be released in spring...

Even if the country thing was a full band, and we don't know if it is or not, they wouldn't be promoting it at a festival of all places. It'd probably be timed around the greatest hits thing.

Part of me thinks the GH is coming sooner than we think, next spring/summer to coincide with a gig at Wembley, maybe.

mm yes the GH thing fits better with festivals...I can see 100,000 jumping to LOAP...Jon is going to be so tempted to slip in a Country number though! lol and that'll be the beer break for the masses

Jon actually said that the Greatest Hits would be released in the 'Fall' of next year.

Wow yeh id much rather see that than them play festivals. Somehow I cant see Oasis and Kaiser Chiefs fans apprecaiting a 12 minute version of Who Says

I honestly can't see Jovi playing a festival anytime soon. The opportunity to open Wembley would mean around four one off shows around the UK perhaps but festivals ... in my opinion ... are out of the question.

What was Jon meant to say in that Virgin interview by the way? He's too nicer guy to turn the presenter down flat, but I'm thinking he had no intention of playing at such gigs.
