I wouldn't say his answer was vague. Being put on the spot isn't really the truth anyway.... I mean that's what happens in interviews. When quized he said "Actually that's something i've been thinking about. Next year will be a bit of a break for the band and I would like to get back to doing festivals"..... or words to those affect. If it's out next 'fall'.... or Autumn for the non Americans (a much nicer word guys, don't you think?)..... that would work. V -festival is the end of August.

yes and no..

Yeah they may be up in the big league with the likes of U2 with regards the crowds they can pull, and you dont see the likes of U2, Bruce Springsteen etc playing festivals over here. .They may be one step above the 'normal' big league folk such as the Chillis, REM, Foos, Coldplay, Radiohead etc but I thinks its more of the fact that they wont really fit into a festival bill.

But when they said festivals, it doesnt mean that it has to be one of the ones we already know about. They could have a random 'one-off' two day show in Hyde park or something and pick the lineup themselves. Probably end with the likes of Nickelback, Def Leppard and other similar comercial type rock acts.

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, possibly to open Wembley ... would be good, as long as they played a full length concert, unlike the Foos at Hyde Park this year
