And what stadium can hold 80 000 people and was reduced to 60 000?

Ofcourse they arent selling that places in stadium. Stadium stage is way different, only if you have x-ray vision you could see band from behind of the stage, LOL.

Oh yes, I know. And I wasn't saying that the capacity is set a bit lower to be negative, not at all. I just want everyone to be aware that the sell out capacity is often times not every seat in an arena/stadium sold but a pre-determined amount set by the promoter.

The RFU has an excellent track record over the last four years in successfully hosting concerts. The capacity for any concert is 55,000 as opposed to 82,000 for a major rugby match. These concerts have proved to be beneficial to the local economy and popular with local residents with each concert held at Twickenham attended by up to 10,000 of the borough’s residents many having purchased discounted tickets.

So, Bon Jovi didnt even make the capacity smaller, they made the capacity bigger!

Those numbers are fantastic, but about the point your trying to make how much could they possibly lower the capacity? For example like a 80,000 stadium is cut down to 60,000 because of the stage and some side seats, also straight across because of the front of the house right? Also every stadium is different so where stage is built at some places it might be blocking more seats.

Aren't the back seats for GA standing or was that just for the HAND tour?

Schalke Veltins Arena: Capacity 78.437 für concerts (see: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veltins-Arena - look for "Kapazität" and "Konzerte") Actual audience: 38.918
so it was more than half empty!!!)

Commerzbank Arena / Frankfurt : 55.000 Capacity for Concerts (see here: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commerzbank-Arena)Actual attendance: 37.187
so it was 1/3 Empty

Leipzig Zentralstadion: 44.345 Capacity / 34.084 actual attendance
so it was 1/4 Empty

Stuttgart Daimler Stadion: 55.000 Capacity (see here http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion) in the youtube clips you can easily see that the satium is COMPLETEY empty in the back seatings!
Actual attendance: 36.768
so it was more than 1/3 Empty

Any further questions ??????? I am too lazy to look for the other stadiums!
But Barca will be the same. The only decent crowd is Munich which holds 72.000 so it was almost full capacity. Ridiculous to release such figures if you ask me but it seems to be that they always do it like this not only BJ

Hmmmm, so slippery89 cites Billboard as a source, and your source for these HARD FACTS are .... ?

Who the **** cares whether it sells out anyway? Ever since the first tour I was about for (the Bounce Tour) I've been wondering quite why people seem to get so hung up on whether a show is sold out or not. With the current state of the world economy, the price of tickets, and the fact that this is their 5th major tour of these markets in 9 years, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if they weren't sold out, and neither do I care. To play to over 100,000 people in the space of about a week is still pretty impressive, no?
