I'm just floored how well, Long Road Out Of Eden, by The Eagles has done. Thanks Asok for posting the list.

You're welcome. Yeah I'm astounded at some of the acts up there in the top 10. Great to see The Eagles doing so well though, you'd think they're fanbase maybe don't buy that many albums no more, but they surely do.

Or maybe the Eagles fanbase is just more likely to actually BUY an album than find other methods of acquiring it!

That might be true of the u.s but he did no promotion at all in the UK and his album was number 1 for a few weeks. I also think Bruce or the band would never
whore themselves out to Simon Cowells evil empire.

Magic is ten times the album Lost Highway is, I think we all know that.

I actually quite like Lost Highway too.

I have to agree with both statements - I acquired a lot more respect for LH after having seen it live.

And you're correct - most of Bruce's promotion was actually here in the northeast USA, where you would think he doesn't need to advertise at all. Strange......

I don't think Magic is quite 10 times the album Lost Highway is; but it is better. To be honest I think half of LH is in a different genre, that being Adult Contemporary(AC)/Pop.

LH is quite hard to pigeonhole - it's got rock tracks, pseudo country tracks, AC tracks...hmm...

To me Magic is THE best album released in the year 2007. It's simply fantastic. Goes to show that theres a few artists that actually manage to produce some brilliant music allthough they have reached a certain age. Just like Dylan, Petty and Cash.

Magic is definately not the best album released in 2007, just check Alter Bridge' Blackbird, that album is a masterpiece.
