Ukers, anyone got their tickets yet?

I got that first email, didn't get the second, and they arrived a couple of days later. Also from AEG, so looks like the second email might be a load of bollocks.

no point starting a thread for this but...on the back of the ticket it says that recording equipment is prohibited and will be confiscated, is this professional or all? ive seen many vids from concerts, were they snuck in or were they allowed?

In my experience, as long as it's not anything too big or professional looking they won't be confiscated. If it's something like a digital camera or phone you should be ok as long as you don't stick it up in a security guard's face or something...it's when people bring in bigger cameras that trouble starts from what I've seen.

I remember at one gig in Brussels a guy tried to bring in a tripod and it got taken off him. Must have been upsetting for him but provided some comic relief for the rest of us

do they search bags?

Spot checks usually but it varies from venue to venue. Generally, the larger the capacity, the fewer checks they do but it's certainly a risk if you're taking anything larger than a point and click camera.

As long as the camera doesn't have changeable lenses it should be ok.

They did for seating at Hampden last time, probably varies with crowd/venue size and the like. Just be sensible and discreet. Personally I'd always err on the side of caution if you're planning on taking a particularly expensive/decent camera.
