I figured that there would be a bus that got close. In the summer a half mile walk is nothing LOL. It's a disgrace that New Jersey Transit trains go right by the place but they never made a stop there. I believe that train transportation is in the plan for the new site but that is years down the road

The only reason I know that is because I'm just a 4 hour drive from Jersey, so we just drive down there for Bon Jovi at Giants, and we take the bus into the city. In the winter, it stinks because of the cold. I love the summer shows though. It's a great weekend. Drive down. Go to a Bon Jovi concert. Hit the hotel down the road. Go to the city the next day. Come back, and go to a Bon Jovi show that night.

I heard rumours a few weeks ago that Giants would be July 29th. And bam, Nickelbacks playing there? There you have it.

Thanks Kathleen and Dan. My biggest concern was just getting in the general area. The reason I am so psyched about these (hopefully true) dates is that we have a partial season ticket plan to 12 Saturday home games at Yankee Stadium and two of the dates are July 15 and 29. It will be alot easier for me to convince my father who HATES HATES HATES Bon Jovi to get me to these concerts if I am only an hour or so away as opposed to five and a half if I was sitting at home in Auburn. Of course I should wait til they are confirmed but I am so damn frieken excited that hopefully it will all work out.

Ok I am thinking out loud....I would probably skip the Yankee games if I can pull this off.... we could go to the hotel and my parents could go to the games..

I guess I could do without going to Shea... but it will be tough to not go to it because I know we drive right by Shea on the way home from the Bronx... how can I not go knowing Bon Jovi is there??

The two I really want to do are Yankee Stadium and Giants! Those will mean the most to me.

A couple more questions:

Do you think that they will end up doing two nights at Giants or just this one?

You guys mentioned there is a bus from Port Authority to close to Giants... Is Port Authority in Manhattan... and how far is Giants from Manhattan?

And is there a subway that goes from Yankee Stadium right to Shea... I thought that is what everyone takes for the subway series... I could be so wrong though....

I am sure I will be googling and mapquesting everything later....

All this drama and excitement over alleged tour dates... sigh!

(cue me on the big screen) JBJ: "How good have you been? Oh My God!" (laughs, more teasing) JBJ: "You want it huh, you want it huh? Blood on Blood just for you, the good girl in the front row? The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

Not to be cynical, but ... only one night at Giants?

Kind of nerve wracking for me--if my new job works out, those dates are probably going to be right around the time I start it, so I don't think ducking out the first week for Bon Jovi shows will go over too well.

I hope there is a Detroit date! Anyone think more dates will be announced?

I'm a big Nickelback fan so this is great news!

My thoughts exactly.

However, with it being on a Saturday night, I would assume there will be another show. I would say Friday, but if it was Friday, they would be playing 3 nights in a row. So, my guess will be they'll play Giants on Saturday and Sunday, with Friday night off.

There will be more nights at Giants. And more shows added. There's NO way that's the leg of the tour right there, those are probably just the confirmed dates thus far.
