Dan, doesn't NJ Transit go from Port Authority to CAA?

Cool, about the dates!! Yea, and I agree, that those have to be the Bon Jovi dates, though Nickelback is hot right now now WAY are they selling out all of those stadiums by themselves.

The last Springsteen tour ended with 3 dates at Shea because Bruce was shut down by the Yankee Boss. Shea is believable, though.

Also, for those wondering, and this coming from someone who lives 12 minutes from Giants and about 45 from Yankee Stadium. They aren't so far apart, if Yankee were to be true, which again, I highly doubt. Shea is a little further, as its in Queens, but nothing more than 2 hours from Giants to Shea. I'll definitely be at Giants, as it is the best place to see the Jersey boys!

I know i am still in shock about Yankee Stadium and although it is unofficial I asked a little while ago on a Yankee Board (the YES Network forum) if anyone thought that a concert could take place there. Most people on there actually thought it could happen.

I was expecting the same answer you gave.. no way in hell Geroge allows it.
I guess we will have to wait and see.

As for the distance I looked it up on mapquest. According to them it is

14.39 miles or 20 minutes from Yankee Stadium to Giants

and 9.94 miles or 16 minutes from Yankee Stadium to Shea

Does that seem about right? I know the minutes are way off... think traffic but the miles... does that sound pretty close? I know mapquest isn't always right.

The miles are OK Lizz - but the amount of time to navigate those miles is WAY off. Maybe at 4 in the morning LOL.

Would you be driving or taking public transportation? When I have the choice - and I live here - I take public transportation.

When Bruce played at Shea in 2003 we took the subway out there with everybody else. To try to drive would have been insane - especially leaving the parking lot after the concert and trying to get back to Jersey.

Oh yeay.. i immediately knew the time was WAY off..LOL it can take a good hour(at least!) to even get out of the parking lots at Yankee Stadium and get onto the Major Deegan and be moving....

I have no idea what I am doing....all i know is there is now way in hell i myself am driving.... i guess i should wait until all this is confirmed.. and it would all depend on where I would be staying. I probably won't end up going to the one at Shea...

Well, yeah, being it's New York City, it's not a matter of is there traffic or not, it's a matter of how much. My mom works right down the road from Yankee Stadium in the Bronx and it takes her about 30-45 minutes to get home on average, so that is about 45-60 from Giants. Shea is in Queens, so from Giants probably an hour and a half to two hours, and from Yankee to Shea you could just take the subway and get there in a half hour, or by car probably around an hour. That's without horrendous traffic.

Basically, if someone would want to come to NJ/NYC for a few days to see Giants, Yankee and Shea consecutively they would only need one hotel. Unless your an available female between the ages of 17 and 20 looking for a ridiculously handsome man to go with there may be an extra bedroom at my house

the only way I am ever going to set foot in Yankee Stadium is for Bon Jovi

this could work out nicely. I could go to the Giants, Yankee, and maybe Shea shows, and then keep heading south to Providence because that's right around the time I plan on coming back down here to go apartment-hunting.

I checked some baseball schedules...

It looks like the Yankees are doing away games the whole week of July 8th.
The Mets and the Phillies are also out of town the week of the dates for their ballparks.

However, the White Sox have a home game scheduled at Comiskey Park for that supposed 22nd date, which makes the Heinz Field show Ticketmaster had listed for the same day a lot more believable.

You check out a Yankee game too, especially this year, since we got Johnny Damon from those nasty Red Sox!

Bring that up again and someone is going to die. Not you because this is the internet and I haven't invented e-murder yet, but someone's death will be on your head. Can you live with the guilt? CAN YOU?

They made him cut his hair. He had such pretty, pretty hair.
