I won't listen to anything these guys say until I hear something. I expect a decent-at-best, overly social-minded album with lots of live your life songs.

Anything more is a bonus.

Wont matter as the "we dont do nostaglia "band will only play 2-3 tracks from the new album anyway

I completely agree with you. Negative speculating never got anyone anywhere. But im expecting the same as you. Don't think 50 something philanthropists are going to make an 80s/90s rock and roll album

That is true, but so far most negative speculation in regards to the last few Bon Jovi records has been right while people with positive expectations were always let down.

I'd rather negatively speculate the next album, and not be disappointing when it actually does come out painfully mediocre. But if it was good, I can only ever be surprised. I would absolutely love to be proved wrong. It's just the last 5 or so albums have been disaster after disaster.

i realise nothing is set in stone for the next bj tour but i d like to know if anyone has any inside info, about it...i ve read some posts here sometime ago that its not gonna be a long tour, the usual 100 show run they did with bounce-hand and lh...david bryan and matt said minimum a year (which i translate they may pass the august mark ) and at least 110 shows, 30 countries etc...
if the tour is give or take a year, looks like they are planning visiting europe in the summer of 2013, only 2 years gap which seems too soon...
also david doesnt seem to exaggerate as richie does, so 30 countries imo means another central-south american tour, new european countries/cities and probably asian-australian tour, who knows...
bj's circle/open air tour was extremely succesful and if they hadnt decided for various reasons to rename the second part of the tour they would easily be in the top 10 of the high grossing most succesful tours by artists/bands in the history of music.

If album is out In March and everyone is banging on about this being a 12 month tour all I can assume if that the tour will kick off properly after the usual promo performances around June and wil then run on until June/July ending in Europe 2014. Or maybe even ending on 3 or 4 US stadium shows after completing Europe!

As like you said 2013 is very soon for them to be returning to Europe especially after the somewhat 'goodbye' speech we got in Lisbon

BTW Dave - This is the band's 12th studio album, not 11th.

I don't agree at all.

Crush and Bounce did little for me, but I loved Have A Nice Day and The Circle. And Lost Highway had it's moments as well.

I don't have a source other than the RS fan page but

Quote:
From a recent interview promoting the new album: “I’m going to go play these songs live when the band goes out on tour [in the spring]," Sambora says. "Jon’s going to let me play a couple of songs, so I am going to continue promoting this record even when I’m out on the road with the band."

So, we will probably get at least 'Every Road..' during a Jovi show. Toilet break for many I fear, it's no ''Ill be there for you''....

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."
