Default vegas show from 3/19

this is a video from the final song on their set..in these arms...I was there and thought it was an exceptional performance of the song, jon seemed like he was pouring everything he had left into it. bobby ruined the solo, but jon seemed awesome to me.. I thought some people may enjoy this...it was the 26th song that night

Was just watching KTF from the same show.

Tico is playing parts of the song differently, playing around with the toms a lot more than often, especially in the outro.

Refreshing change.

This song, for me,itīs not the same since Bobby "plays" the solo.
In these arms has lost his magic since 2006.Itīs a pity, cause is one of my favourites, but Bobby destroys the whole song, the same thing, happens with Iīd die for you and Wild in the streets.I prefer BJ,nowadays, donīt play this songs just because those terrifying solos.
Iīd understand he plays the solo on versions, but on BJ songs definitively not.

There were two major changes in this song, when compared to the versions played before 2006:

1. The key change: this song was downtuned a full step down, to fit with Jonīs vocals. Personally I like this change, I think that it gives a heavier sound and beat to the song, which I like.

2. The solo: Bobbyīs solo is a disgrace to human race. Itīs usually bad, and this one itīs even worse.

I really think that Bobby has something to add to the band. I like the "heavier" sound on the songs, when he is just playing chords. I really really like the actual renditions of Always and Dry County because of that. But other than that itīs too much for him. No solos for him please !

ITA was played at the same tuning in 2001 and 2003, and with a Richie solo. I believe it was played in the same key when done acoustic in 1996.

And out of all the ITA solos I've heard him butcher, that has to be one of the worst.

Yes, my mistake !
It was already downtuned back then !

Jon looks and sounds tired. No wonder they played ITA instead of Always. Personally, I'd hate to attend a show where last solo is ruined by Bobby.

I can see that he looks tired, as he should be after the 26th song, but to me his vocals are nothing short of fantastic

Indeed. This was really fun to watch, also Richie's solo sounded a but different. I have to say there are a lot of KTF performances that I really like this tour.

I was there too. And you're right... In These Ams was surprisingly a great closer! despite Bobby's solo. Seriously, even if he were as good as Richie, why would he be getting his solos?
