thans for the video, Jon was pretty static during LOAP but to be fair to him he was more active than that during the rest of the show and even through the songs in the encore, just not as happy and bouncy and interactive as he normally is, just putting my clips (including the marracas one) up on you tube

the performance didnt have the spirit of MK but still it wasnt that bad

to all these people commenting/making excuses for a person at a show they didn't even attend, you've really no idea. his back certainly wasn't hurting when he was thumping his maracas into tico's sound screen, that's for sure. the guy was in a mood about something and that showed through quite clearly. you'll all be arguing that he didn't bow/stay on stage with the band/shake hands with the band/go anywhere near richie for the whole show because his back was in agony next. the slip on the walkway was tiny; he lost his footing very briefly and didn't look to be in any discomfort afterwards.

Thanks for the clips, Suzanne! I'm not getting "pissed off" or "angry" in any of the ones I've seen so far. I realize there's a difference in watching a video and being there in person, but the performance isn't coming through in the videos nearly as badly as it's been described.

I'm going to give up trying to convince everyone who wasn't at this show just how bad it was. You can tell me that from some crappy video clips and choice photos that I am over reacting and the show wasn't that bad. I know what I witnessed.

I also know that in 18 years of being a Bon Jovi fan I have never seen such a rude and disrespectful performance from Jon, it wasn't "just" a bad show - it was a whole different vibe and boy did it suck. I hope I never have to see another show like that again.

I was around for all the US July performances on the NJ tour and at almost all of those shows Jon was pretty bad. So, it's happened! It also happened at a few of the US Christmas shows in 94 and 95.

What was the marracas incident on those clips? am i missing something?
