Looking forward to this Villa show, at least the drive back to my base in Nottingham won't be as far as Manc is, I've definitely underestimated that one!
Yeah scouse women like to doll themselves up to the max. You only scratched the surface Allerton Rd believe me!

Yeah Villa Park will be interesting. I really hope Richie is back because I will lose my enthusiasm if he isn't. Richie returning and Villa staying up will be perfecto. Are you diamond/gold or general? I'm gold standing this time

Cheap seats for me, just a pair of £25 ones as they didnt come out too badly in the middle of the ground. Wasn't going to do any show other than London but the Manc & Brum seats were really decent for the price so it would be rude not to!

As it happens the 2 places being mentioned, Liverpool & Birmingham, are 2 of my favourite places that I've ended up on nights out, although Liverpool is way ahead in that respect, some of it was an absolute dump, way worse than anywhere else when I last went a few years ago. However, the clunge in Allerton was out of this world....
I'm going for a stag weekend in Liverpool in May. Should I have high expectations?

Also, as an aside, my bitter comment about hoping people get a rubbish set was based on Aston Villa's win at Stoke!

Have high expectations. Definitely. I've been to Newcastle a few times on nights out and I think Liverpool is better - but you may think differently. Stick to Concert Square and Matthew Street & you'll have a great time. Scouse girls love Geordie fellas and the lingo as well. They drool over it!

You'll be fine this season. But did you see Lowton's goal?! Very Shearer-like that one!

Ah excellent. I enjoy my nights in Newcastle but the novelty of being in a different city etc. should be good. Will take your advice too!

Hope so mate haha. Sunday is the biggest derby game in years.

Same for Villa I reckon though. If you can survive, hang onto Benteke and add a little more experience next season and you will be a lot more comfortable. As for Lowton's goal... it was something special!

100% agree

Put it simple, Liverpool is the greatest city in the country. The change since The Capital of Culture in 2008 has been tremendous.

I have had nights out in loads of towns but Liverpool is always the best.

p.s. shame Villa park will get a run of the mill mediocre set, especailly since Manchester is the night before......

Dont be so sure....Manchester had a mediocre set in 2011 and Hyde Park the next night had a great one. They've played at Eastlands many times and never Villa Park, so perhaps the sight of a packed Holte End will urge him to throw in a frew curveballs! (wishful thinking)

Jesus These are the places to avoid on a night out in town. Terrible, terrible places. 90% idiots.

If you're in town David go to Slaters/Bar Cava/Heebie Jeebies/Mojo/Pogues/Shipping Forecast etc. More expensive, but yer, just don't go to Concert Square.
