It's a local "insult" where they live.
It's meaningless to someone not from the area.
So they can say it all they like. It's about as relevant as some local abbreviation of names they turn into nicknames (for some odd reason, Derek = Dezza)

Here in the US, we use "gimp" or "gimpy" only for people who have a bum ankle or are limping or are on crutches.
But it's not common UNIVERSALLY.

Your on the wrong board with commments like that... You'll find that there are a lot of people who care what Tom thinks, certainly a lot of the regulars.

Also, if I owned a flying monkey I woudln't give it away, it would have such a big novelty factor that I could make millions!!!!!!!!!
