I don't think that will happen. The band clearly loves to play that one. Plus, the audience seems to like it relatively well. I think Jon could designate 4 or 5 spots in the set list for new songs and then just a rotate a couple of songs from What About Now every other night.

I don't think you need to worry. It's very good live and I get the sense that it's not only one of the few new songs that Jon genuinely likes performing live, but it got the best reception of the new songs at the concert I went to in Tampa. It reminds me of Captain Crash in that sense.

It honestly doesn't surprise me. Jon is a business man and understands that only about 5% of the audience (if that) either a)wants to hear new songs or b) bothered to listen to the new songs. They go down like a lead balloon and people aren't there to hear this album.

I think they ought to go with 6 new songs a night, espec if they're playing at least 24 songs. That's only 1/4 of the set. What i'm most surprised with is the lack of diversity in new songs being played. If none of them are hits, then why play the same ones every night?

I think 6 songs off the new album is fine. Anyone going to a Bon Jovi concert on the tour supporting a new album should at minimum listen to the new album and the greatest hits. If they don't, tough shit. Its the absolute least I would do when seeing a band.

Well you can hardly fault people at the concerts prior to now, though. Going into the concert I saw in Tampa, the only new song I had heard was "Because We Can". Up until now pretty much, few have heard the album as it just came out.

Good or bad the new songs have to be played. I don't want to listen the Lost Highway garbage songs instead of them. Five or six songs every night in a tour supporting new album is something normal. In a better world That's What The Water Made Me, Pictures Of You and I'm With You won't leave the setlist until the end of the tour.

If the fans are not buying the album, they will play less songs.

The album won't even go Gold in the US and that's a failure by Bon Jovi's standards.

Indeed, many of my posts over the past few weeks have said they shouldn't play more than a couple before release. Especially if they are going to take them out of the set based on audience non-reactions to songs they have never heard before.
