Default Warning about Hyde Park tickets: No Gold/Diamond circle.

Hi everyone,
this is a Stones fan who just registered to tell we have all been conned by the promoters for BST event in Hyde Park.

Have a closer look at details in this thread @ Stones forum IORR:

Please help to put pressure on AEG boss Rob Hallott:

Funniest stage layout ever if thats the case.

It did seem weird that the stones did say the £95 would get you the opportunity to get to the front of the stage, and yet were selling Tier 1/2/3 GA tickets so they're could be some truth to that. I would guess its half and half- at least those who queue early get into the front of the GA half, but it renders Tier 2/GC a bit rubbish especially compared to the prices paid, definitely for the stones. I'd be surprised if this is the layout for Bon Jovi

The Stones prices are ridiculous. And I despise all this ''hospitality'' shit that has crept into tours the past few years..

Saying that, although a weird set up this is, at least they are still trying to balance between the two main types of fans - those that will pay a sh1tload, expect hospitality and a decent view, and those that just want to be close to the stage and are prepared to queue all day for this rather than pay for it. To be fair, they could have been right bastards about it and stuck the GA right at the pack behind the GC/DC (tier 1/2) but this setup at least tried to make it more balanced.

Saying all that, I doubt Bon Jovi will adopt this layout..

Paying £95 to see a bunch of pensioners stumble around in a park is madness.

The description of the diffrent categories were excatly the same as offered to Bon Jovi fans
(just that your tier 1 and 2 areas were called gold and diamond circles):

GA Tier 1 – access to the area directly in front of the stage
GA Tier 2 – access to an area closer to the stage than general admission
GA Tier 3 – access to the main spectator area

After the event was announced sold out, they released this layout map that shows Tier 1/2 (Diamond/gold circles) customers have been conned.

When confrontated with this, the promoters changed the description of the tiers/circles:

Tier 1 tickets provide:

Separate fast track entrance to the site

Direct access to The Garden, an exclusive area with its own toilet facilities, bar and food stalls, providing the shortest possible queues

Access to an enclosed area with an excellent view of the main stage and plenty of space, allowing you to come and go as you please

Tier 2 tickets provide:

Separate fast track entrance to the site

Direct access to The Garden, an exclusive area with its own toilet facilities, bar and food stalls, providing the shortest possible queues

Access to an enclosed area directly behind Tier 1 with an excellent view of the main stage and plenty of space, allowing you to come and go as you please

Tier 3 tickets provide:

General admission through the main entrance
Access to all general admission areas, including the possibility to stand directly in front of the main stage – if you get there early enough!

And just for the information, Rob Hallett (the man in charge of the event) has confirmed to several customers that this very setup will be the same for both Bon Jovi and The Stones.

We have both been fooled the same way.

Does anyone know a contact number for AEG Live?

Ticketmaster have closed all phonecall queries.

Let the stressing begin!

I look forward for this cluster**** to unveil itself and all Bon Jovi fans to panic again.

It's actually a fairly decent arrangement and would have been seen as a positive if announced beforehand. Possibly not for those who had bought expensive tickets, but at least it gives options to pay to be at the front AND turn up really early and be at the front.

Tier 2 looks a bit shit from the plan, but in reality its probably a good guess that half of the stage will be Tier 1 and 2 with the other half Tier 3, and Tier 2 will be behind Tier 1 on the left side.

Looks great to me (as a model- not in terms of the prices! Halve those and it would look okay.). If I'd have seen that before, a £95 ticket could have been tempting - £200 extra to guarntee the equivalent of Jovi's DC, £100 extra to guarntee the equivalent of Jovi's GC, everyone else who pays for a GA ticket has a "first come, first served" chane of a good spot...

we'll have to wait and see but if that ends up the layout for jovi i will be a bit peed off. i buy golden circle tickets to get closer and better view of the stage. not a fancy bar and toilets.
