I think that floor plan looks fine. Stick the people who want to throw money away to the side, let the GA crowd go as close as they like.

Gold Circle/Diamond Circle layouts are hands-down the worst thing to ever happen to large concerts. It's total bullshit.

General Admission should be, like this layout suggests, free to roam as close as you want/can get. Wanna get to the front? Then get there early!!

In honestly the nicest way possible, I sincerely hope all the mugs who bought over-priced GC/DC get screwed over. Maybe then you'll learn?

Well here's a great BIG F*** YOU JerseyBoy!!!!
Some of us pay the extra because having children makes it impossible to get there early enough to be down at the front.
Some of us get one evening out every year and as a result will pay what is required to get the best of it.

If you go to BST-HydePark.com they still state that there is a difference for the 2 nights.
For Bon Jovi:

General Admission – access to the main spectator area
Gold Circle – access to an area closer to the stage than general admission
Diamond – access to the area directly in front of the stage

For the Stones, it's different and does say for Tier 1 that it's an "enclosed area with excellent view of stage".

Because the rest of the Jovi tour follows the Diamond/Gold package routine, it would make sense it's the same for HP.
If it does turn out that this plan is true then I'm getting a full refund from AEG and will quite happily report them to Trading Standards and also BBC Watchdog for full investigation.

If you click to buy tickets from BST's website it's still marked as Diamond/Gold/General.

I don't intend to start a fight with you here, but that's exactly the point he is trying to make. Would none of you actually buy those tickets chances are prices would go down. With many fans having the "I have to be there no matter what" attitude they're milking you as much as you can, up until the point that you can't afford it anymore and will start complaining about ticket prices plenty of people had warned you about long ago.

And really, don't kid yourself, if this is your one evening out a year, unless your kids are mentally handicapped or to some extend I'm sure someone would be able to babysit your children. It's just an excuse you're using to justify the expensive purchase you're making, which is fine when it comes to me, but don't get upset when people are calling you out on it, because what you're essentially doing is screwing yourself over for future purchases for both yourself and other fans. The ticket prices for the Rolling Stones are the perfect example of this.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Hate to say it, but you are wrong.

They changed it after they got a shitstorm of complaints.
(after all tickets had been sold, I might add)
There were no diffrence whatsoever in terms of how these tickets were discribed and sold - except from price level. Tickets were sold under a fraudulent description.‏

Wake up, all of you who have bought gold and diamond circles have been fooled. I try to do you all a favour here.

Nope - not at all the case - my parents live 5 mins down the road but are so wrapped up in their own world that they don't/won't help us out. We don't have anyone else to babysit for us. It's the way it is and after 10 years we've grown to accept it. It just happens that this gig is on my wife's 40th, so the parents are actually stepping in to look after the kids for once!
In all seriousness the last night we had out as a couple was for one of the O2 gigs back in 2011!

Could be worse - could be a mug who pays £50 per year for Backstage membership, and then an absolute fortune on top for the fanclub trip.....

Don't worry - I saw that the descriptions matched Bon Jovi at first, but was then changed.
However, it's also been made clear that the Stones requested that the layout allow GA ticket holders to get front spots if they arrived early enough.

Bon Jovi have NOT done that, so it would appear it still stands as Diamond/Gold circles to match the rest of the tour.
The groupings can be very easily re-organised overnight/early morning to set-up for each event.

Well, according to Rob Hallett it will be the same layout both nights.
Perhaps you have better a source?

Just to clarify though, I do agree that GA gigs should be just that - all GA.
However, if a band is going to offer front blocks for a higher price they are entitled to.
I can go back to 2000 for the start of issues with it anyway. Wembley Stadium was GA, with the exception of fanclub getting a pit. On the first night I had wristbands but we didn't get let into the pit because it was already full, because security let the wrong people in!

Evidently the band saw the issues with this and decided to have better control by selling tickets separately - easier to control.

Oh and it it wasn't my wife's 40th, we wouldn't be paying for Diamond Circle - it's a one off treat!

Hallett will find himself covered in lawsuits if it turns out to be changed between now and the event itself..... And doing lots of refunds.

Jovi don't do GA front access anymore - Stones do.
