They know they have mislead their customers.
That's why they have offered some to change their tickets or get a refund.

"I have the awful impression that AEG wants to silence the few loud complainers from IORR. I suspect the majority who bought tickets in Tier 1/Tier 2 have no idea of the ongoing drama. They will meet up at Hyde Park thinking they will find themselves right in front of the stage as stated in the original sales description. Most customers are not Stones nerds who bother to read forums like this and keep track of every event detail. If every Tier 1/Tier 2 customers were to be informed of the dramatic event changes, AEG would face a shitstorm of complaints. And there’s no way they can offer every Tier 1/Tier 2 customers the possibility to downgrade/upgrade/refund without reshaping the entire layout. They are looking for an easy way out of this mess."

Question is - are they going to contact those who have purchased tickets and inform them of the layout, or are they going to just keep quiet and hope they don't moan when they turn up????
They going to have to do more than let it flitter round one forum!

I have just emailed Rob to find out about Jovi layout - if it's same as Stones then I'm after full refund.

In all seriousness the last night we had out as a couple was for one of the O2 gigs back in 2011!

Could be worse - could be a mug who pays £50 per year for Backstage membership, and then an absolute fortune on top for the fanclub trip.....
Fair enough, still, you're paying an exorbitant amount of money for what are essentially just concert tickets closer to the stage. It's worked that way in America where fans are paying 200 dollars to be up close and are using the same excuses, whether they're legit or not. It's behavior like this that's caused ticket prices to go up so much and although they aimed to go as far as they could with ticket prices for the O2 Arena it was a bit hit and miss, so now they're trying to find out how far they can go. You're shooting yourself in the foot for future purchases.

Instead of complaining about it on a message board you'd better get yourselves organized and inform the press in one way or the other. The Rolling Stones won't give a shit about this because they'll their money anyway, but concert promoters do.

I have just emailed Rob to find out about Jovi layout - if it's same as Stones then I'm after full refund.

Several people from IORR contacted Rob.
He replied back to a few with this answer:

Hi

Thanks for your mail

Apologies for the confusion in respect of GA Tiers 1, 2 and 3.

You are correct that there will be a section in front of the stage that can be accessed by those with General Admission Tier 3 tickets. This will be the same as any other gig and will be available to anyone that arrives early enough and can run fast enough and are prepared to remain in that spot throughout the day.

However, the purchase of your Tier 1 tickets will provide you with the following:
• You will have an exclusive entry and exit point to the venue itself, not available to the general public holding Tier 3 tickets
• You will be guaranteed a position close to the stage, in an exclusive section for those holding Tier 1 tickets.
• From this area, you will have exclusive access to sanitation/toilet facilities and a bar area (and so you will not have to leave this area and return to the main site if you do not wish to)
• But of course you are also free to explore the site and the other stages throughout the day whilst not losing your privileged viewing spot for the Stones.
• [You will also be entitled to all the benefits of the Barclaycard Unwind Backstage Bar package]

We think this Tier 1 package, as detailed above, represents great value and will allow you the best opportunity to enjoy a fabulous day and an amazing performance from the Rolling Stones.

But if you are still not happy, please let us know by return email within 3 days and we will agree either to:
• Downgrade your ticket purchase to a Tier 3 ticket (£95)
• Give you a full refund on your ticket purchase.

We look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.

Kind regards

AEG Live

We have. Let's see what happens next week.
My intention was never to visit your board just to complain.
I wanted to share our experiences as you seemed unaware of the situation.

Oh, I'm not upset or angry at all, I get why you're posting here, and understand the frustration. I wanted to buy a ticket for the Stones but haven't because I felt it was too expensive and just not worth the amount of money, really. The same with Bon Jovi, haven't bought a ticket for that show either. I think your intentions are good though.

All about interpretation then - "same as any other gig" doesn't necessarily mean any other BST Hyde Park gig. It could easily mean any other Stones gig.
It doesn't state in that reply that it's the same for Bon Jovi as it is for Rolling Stones.

Also worth noting that for Stones, Tier 1 & 2 were only every available under hospitality packages.
For Bon Jovi the Diamond and Gold Circle were available as ticket only option as well as part of packages.

Of course, I hope I'm wrong about the set up for your concert.
All I say is that Stones fans were decived, fooled and duped.
And they changed all the descriptions from our event after complaints.
It would be intersting to see how they react to your inquiries.

I'm starting to learn my lesson now. Shame really, considering this gig was the first ever I have been trying for DC Tickets

And I appreciate what you have done. Today, I have been focussed on that link. I hope this mess gets sorted for both group of fans
