Default What are you expecting from the Giants/O2 shows?

As the first leg of the tour has been completed, I'm wondering what peoples thoughts are regarding what sort of sets, shows we are likely to get in NJ and London.

Any rarities showing up? Songs from the 1st 2 albums returning, full album shows, changes from the first leg etc?

I'm expecting the whole Slippery album to be played just like the full The Circle. Also, rarities from the first two albums, and in my deepest dreams they play My Guitar Lies Bleeding In My Arms once ><

After the last half dozen or so shows, I'm not expecting much. Normally I'd expect them to pull something special out for Jersey, but normally, I'd never expect them to have played the exact same show 6 timers in a row.

I'm keeping my expectations low for the O2, and assuming they'll play a set-list very similar to what we've seen from the first leg. If I get to hear These Days, Hey God or Dry County I'll be very happy.

I think that we will see at Jersey shows the same boring set list of the latest shows of the first leg.
I have lost all my faith in Bon Jovi just with 2 months touring.
I´m going to Jersey from Spain just, because I have the tickets, the plane and the hotel paid, because if I have to do it today,I´d stay better at home.

and not beyond the realms of possibility. Nothing Jon couldnt sing, a few songs on the ramp and a similar structure to the sets in the US arena leg. if they do play whole albums i could only see Slippery, New Jersey or the Circle being played

Aloha !

At the beginning of this tour I was thinking they'd play the full New Jersey album at one of the shows, but ever since setlist have gotten terribly predictable I'm not so sure anymore. I do expect Bruce Springsteen and/or Little Steven to show up at one of the shows though.

As for the O2 shows; Jon kept saying on how this album would be killer live but so far audiences haven't been too great regarding the new songs, Thorn In My Side and Love's The Only Rule have been dropped several times now and there haven't been any hits coming off it in the UK. If Jon would play the full album somewhere in the set it'd be the same snoozefest for the audience as it was when they played Lost Highway in full at the shows on the Lost Highway tour.

Yes it is, it's 3 hours long. They rarely do 3 hour shows anymore, and they haven't done any show over 2,5 hours this tour yet. They could however just open with those 11 songs of New Jersey in the same order as it is on the album so they can open the acoustic set with Love For Sale, then do Hallelujah, Something For The Pain and Sat. Night acoustic and finish off the set like they normally do. It'd make a great set and it wouldn't be too long or anything.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
