My opinion on this is mixed. While I would love to see a Jovi show with 15 songs that we haven't heard in a long time it really is a double edged blade. For example last summer I saw Clapton live. Now next to Richie I think Clapton is the best. But his show was a lot of blues (which I loved) and songs he hasn't played in years (which I loved) The problem was he would play a song like "Let it Rain" and maybe half the crowd knew it. Or he would play a real old blues tune like "Stop Breaking Down Blues" I think there maybe 5 people who got excited and knew that song. He would play a guitar solo before songs. These solos were amazing! Some of the best stuff I've ever heard and I would look aroung and everyone would be sitting down. Then he would play the intro to "Layla" and the crowd went nuts. Point being on that last tour he only played maybe 4 or 5 of his "hits" and I think maybe he alienated some of his fans with that. I think a lot of Jovi fans might feel the same way if at a show they only heard a set that was made up of only 50% of their hits and the rest semi obscure stuff.
I would like them to drop a few of the same songs at every show. Like Capt Crash, I got the Girl, Some stuff on Bounce or whatever and add like 5 or 6 songs that they haven't played in a long time. Something Off of 7800 or TD or BJ. Maybe have about 10 songs they can play and switch them up each night.
