If you've been queing for 10 or more hours, you tend to need all sorts of stuff... Pillows, food, something to read... And thanks to many "fans" it's almost impossible to take all the stuff back to the hotel, because you would lose your spot in the que. If possible, I always go to a concert with nothing else but some money and my ticket. But for example when I went around Europe following Bon Jovi, many times I had to have stuff with me, to stay comfortable in the que. For Milton Keynes 2001 we qued for almost 24 hours. How would you survive that in the pouring rain with just a ticket?

IF your hotel is near enough. IF you have a car. IF there's more than one of you. IF the people will let you back into the que.

Too many ifs. And if you're travelling in a foreign country, it's not too easy to get a car or a hotel room near the venue. What would you do with your sleeping bags, pillows and everything, if your hotel was 2 kilometers away and you were alone in the que?

Aloha !

A guitar, a football, my guitarpics to screw people by claiming they're original JB ones, a tent, a matras, my pillow, good sheets, my banners, a raincoat, an extra sweater for when it gets cold, beer, a microwave, my portable tv, a discman, lots of cd's and a bakfiets.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

We'll there always people around you and if you ask them to watch your spot while you bring back your stuff it always works for me.
I have been in London with no car, hotel far away and still brought the stuff back. I took a cab, droped off my stuff and took a cab back. The person behind me and infront of me knew what i was doing. And for sure in the fanclubline the last tour it worked

With all respect, but when you've been doing tours like you've been doing for such a long time I'm sure you've got more tourmates than someone who's coming over from a country in which Bon Jovi rarely plays. And about the last tour ; it was a complete different organisation compared to the Crush or OWN tour so it's not fair to compare.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

In Barcelona I had no friends no nothing! And I still managed to take in really less stuff. It all depends on asking and being open to people

AND the people. I'm not saying it happens every time, but your attitude towards people bringing in their backbags could be a little nicer. They might have a good reason for it, and you shouldn't judge them before you know why they're carrying a backbag.

I couldn't care less about peoples backbags but what annoys the hell out of me is when people start to smoke in the crowd. Also, anything that people lift up, like flags or banners are really annoying unless I'm in the first row. Don't they understand that they're blocking the view for everyone behind them?
