Default What exactly is going on on the floor?

I mean I know there are seats to start with...

But what happens when the show starts and everybody stands up?
Am I supposed to dance around carefully right in front of my chair, what's stopping me from running to the front?

I'm confused.

In the US there are staff in the aisles of each section. Some venues are more strict than others about being in the aisles, some will let you move up in the aisleway to take a few pics and then go back to your seat and others won't let you into the aisles at all unless you are leaving the arena floor.
As for the chairs most people leave them with the seat pushed up so there is a bit of space to dance a bit in depending on the people around you.

Not really -- it's how our shows are and what we're used to. Just because it isn't the same as what you do elsewhere . . . oh wait, we've been down this path. Never mind.

But now maybe you see why we aren't dancing around with reckless abandon. We'd fall over the chairs and kill ourselves.

Just pray that people don't stand on their chairs, that happened to me at one of the Giants shows, I couldn't see anything, not even the damn video screens, I went over to the aisle and stood there, one of the security told me I couldn't stand there so I told him to get the people of their chairs then, I didn't pay money for a ticket to look at a bunch of asses, then they got everyone down.

Actually we are shackled to our chairs....makes running to the front rather difficult.
