Default What happened to Ride Cowboy Ride?

Where'd it go? Wouldn't it make a great inclusion in the acoustic set....or near the end...or before wanted or blaze...or anywhere for that matter??? It would be a much better way for Jon to rest his vocals a bit, jam out a little and show of some of Richie's vocals. Plus, it is acoustic, but not creepy like IBTFY - TLFR.

When and why did they eliminate this song from the set?

Or before Stick to Your Guns which is were it's supposed to be. It's an intro to the song so if they aren't gonna play Stick To Your Guns then I doubt they'll play RCR.

They played it alot on the NJ tour before Wanted. Also played it occasionally before Blaze in the subsequent tours.

Wait, so are there any good bootlegs of stick to your guns, cause there's no way Jon would sing that one anymore as I don't think he really liked it.

The only version I have ever heard of it live is only part of the song and Jon is struggling. Anybody able to PM me a good live bootleg of this (with RCR if you could!)

thanks!

Look for the New Years Eve 1989 show at the Tokyo Dome. Jon and Richie performed it right before Wanted.

he asked if there was a version of stick to your guns. the only i've heard is a poor quality version from brussels (?) 88.

as for ride cowboy ride, i don't think it's an impossibility. it was played (correct me if i'm wrong) in bercy in 2001 so could make an appearance sometime.

I think they only played STYG once so far - during the NJ tour. Jon screwed up the lyrics, and probably was so pissed they dropped it.

Stick To Your Guns is a really awesome song. So underrated... I don't remember ever talking about it here.

Well, anyway, we might get it just like Homebound Train was played once during the Crush Tour
