There's not much of a difference really. Depends on the concert, the opening of o2 was great, other than that there's not really difference between the American and European crowd. People tend to get more drunk in Europe though, seen a few fights.

You wouldn't get the reception SBTI got at the O2 with an American crowd, end of story. The crowd would just get bored that they strayed from the party songs.

In other words, the correct way to convey this would be..

Spain attracts a more energetic audience than those in the States. This isn't even an argument due to the fact that audiences from Spain are just amazing. Whether it's a Jovi show.. Or a Bruce show.. Etc.

Italy has similar audiences to those in Spain.

Some video examples include the Bad Name performance in Madrid recently - the audience sings the instrumentals, which always sends shivers down my spine!

Bruce live in Spain - Badlands (Just another example of how amazing the crowds are here)

Enjoy!

Awww...thanks for this, it brought me some nice memories, I was there.

Re the OP, I probably was in my own Jovi world while at the O2 shows, and I have done 4 so far, as I got a different experience. The crowds have been great, yes, I would say the majority are casual fans, but they loveed the main hits of course and the dome was about to explode in some occasions. And as someone pointed out, they can't be compared with the regular stadium concerts.

I have to say that, from where I was on Saturday, the O2 crowd were incredibly noisy!
Saying that (and I'm sure IrishShin will agree), a lot of people in the A3 front areas were selective about what songs they sang or knew.
Personally, I sang and sang and sang until I couldn't sing any more (and I couldn't shout at the kids yesterday either), but there were people around who weren't so into it.

Maybe it's because of the pricing - with the more vocal being in the upper tier. I know a lot of competitions involved tickets in the A blocks, so that would usually draw a lot of non-Jovi fans in.

I still am in shock at the bloke and his daughter on our row who didn't stand at any point and definitely didn't sing.
Why go?!?

It could be possible that I was obstructing their view, but I doubt it, especially from there - and I do apologise to anyone who I did obstruct. I probably was the tallest person in that little section, but I can't help it

I'd actually say that the performances have been better at the O2 than in a stadium..... Not so sure regarding crowd though - but of course having 20,000 and comparing it to a stadium of 45,000 is pointless. It's always going to be louder with more people.
