Default What is it in the similar set lists?!

Why Jovi always performs only few "unfamiliar" songs on the tour. Now there were Livin in Sin (played it 2 or 3 times) and Wild Is The Wind (only one time, I suppose).
Ofcourse there were Dry County And In Thes Arms but they both are big hits...
I think Jon and guys are aware of the situation that people would want to hear something new in every concert...
Why can't there be that about 15 songs typical set list and about 5 not so known...? Jovi has so big fanbase that I think many people wpuld want to hear something unusual like:
Shot Trought The Heart
Roulette
In And Out Of Love
Only Lonely
Hardest Part Is The Night
Let It Rock
Without Love
Stick To Your Guns
I Want You
I Believe
Every other song once in a while from TD than These Days..
Mystery Train
The Distance
...
And any rare song you can think of!? Why Jovi always try to amuse us with the familair songs?
It should be time for reinvention to set lists...
It cannot be just the lack of training...?
What do you think of this, or am I all alone with this...?
Fanbase is too big to handle that and I would be just positive surprise for all of us

I think you should call Jon if you want a proper answer on this question. The basic or die hard fan doesn't know this at all.

you talk shit

this has been asked answered and reposeted 900 times.

jon and the guys arent stupid they know how to make a set list.

they have to include LOAP IML YGLABN CC HAND etc just because the majority of the crowd arent die hards

they just wanna turn up hear a few classics and have a good time

o yeh theres the thing about jonn ot being able to sing the songs anymore, but lets not get into that

This not a new discussion by ANY means. Dry county is not a big hit. Never was, it's simply a die hard fan pleaser at this point. They just can't please everyone, always...They have to play the hits, they have to thrown in a couple album tracks. They're simply TOO big a band with too many record solds to justify a b-side sadly.

well they sing Bad Medicine still... It rocks because of the guitar and drums but listen to it from CD.... and you know the difference.
And I'm not saying that they should chance the whole set lists, just few songs.
Many guys have said on this forum that when they have been on Stones's or Boss's gigs they haven't recognise even one song...
If you come to Jovi's concert you will hear all the classics even though there would be 4 unusual songs.
The point is that when you come to Jovi's show, it doesn't matter are you hardcore fan of just a regular friend of live music, the number of songs you recognise is closer to 10 than 5, which isn't self-evident while beeing in Boss's gig...

And after listening to Richie talk how much he hated the first two records (I listened to a radio interview done on Sept. 6th about the SWW 20th Anniversary). I highly doubt we'll ever hear anything from those records other than Runaway. They did better this tour with throwing in some rarities. Yes, they could do more, but as long as they keep generating new stuff that is even a medicore hit, there is less of a chance of hearing the b sides and non hit songs.

Bingo. Jovi IS for the masses. You go to a show, you'll hear the big songs. I think they do a pretty good job of pleasing people for the most part. This tour especially.
