Default What Opening Act Do You Want?

There's been a lot of talk from people disappointed about Nickelback being the opening act for the Europe and possibly summer tours. I know we all go to the shows to see Bon Jovi but just wondering who your ideal opening act would be. I personally hated the Have a Nice Gig openers even though the concept was a nice gesture to younger artists, I'd much rather hear an established band. Also if you can, try to keep your answers realisitc. As much as I'd love to see U2 or AC/DC open for Bon Jovi it'd obviously never happen. Personally I really liked Goo Goo Dolls when the opened part of the Bounce tour and I'm looking forward to Nickelback but I'd be happy with a group like Matchbox 20 if they ever get back together (not that crappy Rob Thomas solo stuff) or even The Lovehammers (if you ever watched Rockstar INXS this is the band of that guy that came in second place ... they have been opening for the new INXS on their current tour. Def Leppard would be pretty good too.

Something Corporate, Yellow Card or Alex Band, th former the Calling front man would be brill. they should hav brough the Goo's over this time for Europe.
Live and Matchbox were amazin support acts, even tho live didnt go over as well.

I'm not really looking forward to Nickleback either!

I would love any of these: Def Leppard, Cinderella, The Goo Goo Dolls.

I love Nickelback, so I'm looking forward to seeing them if I go to any of the summer shows. Of course, I also really liked the Goo Goo Dolls until I saw them opening for Bon Jovi. They were one of the worst acts I ever saw and definitely the most disappointing because I expected them to be good and they were terrible.

I am dissapointed Nicckle(however its spelt) are opening the show but hey they aint the worst band in the world still the opening act for the new stadium should be bit more speciall for Bon Jovi. What i think a good idea would be that, the winning band of the USA tour should be that lucky band for Wemberley. It would be great promotion for them i would rather that then Nicckle Back. Mine would be by a mile of especially for wemberley, is .............. PAUL WELLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is the only thing for being proud of England actually make that one of. Can't forget The Who they started the Mod generation. They would be a great act to. Anyway PAUL WELLER PAUL WELLER PAUL WELLER. I will regret saying this actually i wont, just imagine THE JAM reforming and being the first band to play at wemberley. pff who am i kidding that would only happen in my dreams. But sure i think Paul Weller aka The Mod Farther! should open it up a true British legend to go down in history well he allready has. Now Bon Jovi will be the last and first band to play at Wemberley Bon Jovi the next but will be bigger and better than the Rollin Stones!

Any yanks who dont have a clue who im on about feel free to ask me

Are you kidding me? They were AMAZING. Well, not amazing, but close. The thing is though, an opening act could only perform as much as the fans want to listen to them. Most of the time, the crowd could care less about the opener, they came to see the main act. Seeing the Goo Goo Dolls as an opening act was enjoyable, but I think they have much more potential doing a show to die hard fans. The band does feed off the crowd, us Bon Jovi fans know that for sure.

No, I'm not kidding. I don't think the fans had much to do with it. Maybe if Johnny and Robbie hadn't been drunk off their asses or high they would have put on a decent show. But they didn't do it so well phoning it in from Mars or whereverthehell their minds were that night. Johnny never looked up and Robbie was acting like a maniac. They weren't playing well and they didn't sound good. I've never looked as forward to an opening act as I did the Goos and, consequently, never been as disappointed by one either.

I'm excited to see Nickelback! I've been a fan for years and never got a chance to see them live... I heard they rock live! Perfect choice by the band... Nickelback has the chance of bringing a bunch of "new" fans to the band.
