What song would you like to be the new opener?

That was me. Thought it would be good with the drum roll at the start but I might of been thinking crazy

Summertime would be shit. Yes, the intro is good because it's just We Will Rock You by Queen, but as soon as Jon starts singing the song they've lost the crowd. It happens with every performance they do of the song in the US, and that's where the album was a success.

The Distance isn't a good opener either. It's way too slow and there's nothing spectacular or upbeat about it that a concert opener needs. Imagine Bon Jovi entering the stage, breaking into this song with the intro riff and then there's...well, nothing really. It's a song no one knows, and when a band plays a slow song no one knows people start to chat. Really good idea for an opener, the build up is killed right away.

It's My Life is a bit of the same story. Yes it's a big hit, yes it's something people would recognize but no it wouldn't work as an opener. It's too slow for that.

Out of all the songs from Lost Highway they chose the right one to open with. We Got It Goin' On isn't an opener either. It just wouldn't work. And I find it shit when bands open their shows with a lyric that should involve the start of the show. Things like "hello is there anybody out there" or "is there anybody out there looking for a party" is about the worst lyric a singer could sing when starting the show.

IML & Summertime would both be CRAP openers. Too slow.

OWN or Prayer for me.

just start with Bad Name, get it over & done with. Most people are cheering too hard thru the first song so you don't hear shit anyway.... good choice imo

Isn't One Wild Night the same sort of idea though? Personally I think something like that is great, it makes the opening song to be something of a statement

The better intros like LYHOM and Let It Rock have all opened tours before so I doubt they would open tours with them again, same applies for OWN, Bounce etc...

I think its gotta be a song from the current album, although I can only think that WGIGO qualifies, and for those who dont like it at least its out of the way early!!

Prayer is better closing the set or even last song of the encore.

Thinking about it, Id love for Twickers 2 to have "Saturday Nights Alright for Fighting" as the opener like some of the US stadium dates on the 2nd leg of the HAND tour
