If they keep playing and playing mostly the old songs, why would they bother to release a new album? Yeah, BJ says that they develop themselves; well do that also then concering the gigs!
I'm sure that besides me, lots of people will get bored after a while if their shows are almost equal. Except for the people who are demanding and don't take it for granted. Ok, we are fans, but that doesn't mean that we're not critical on them anymore. Actually, we should me more and more critical, because the prices for tickets and everything are getting higher and higher.
BJ used to say that they want to keep the prices for concert tickets affordable for the fans. Apparently that doesn't count for them anymore.
Remarks like 'why bother even going to their show, then?" don't make sense and don't have to do with this topic.

I thought we'd finished with this argument. The statement made perfect sense, because you were sounding so bored with the shows and what the band play.
However, on the last tour (which you've said yourself you didn't even go to) there was enough songs from HAND, maybe one or two from Bounce, if we were lucky one from These Days (which I wasn't, unfortunately), probably 2 from Crush (It's My Life and Captain Crash, which I have a feeling is all that will ever be played from Crush from now on) and then the rest from KTF, NJ, SWW and Runaway.
I did say I'd like some shake-up of the set-lists, but you'll never get a major overhaul because that's not what the majority of the crowd are paying to hear - there was one post I saw on here awhile back that said on the last tour, when the band played Dry County, a lot of the crowd used it as a break for the bar. Hey, I'm a fan and would like some variation, especially as you say, we're having to pay more and more for it. I'm just very aware that they're not selling out only to the die-hard fans, and therefore, won't necessarily cater to what we want to hear - which is why hardly any of These Days is ever played on tour. I'd like them to drop the Bad Medicine/Shout routine, and just do Bad Medicine on their own if they have to play it, drop I'll Sleep When I'm Dead because while its a great live song to get the crowd going, it is getting a bit tedious every single show, and maybe a few others (like Born To Be My Baby and Raise Your Hands. Love the songs, but again heard it at every show), and dropping those few would give them plenty of space still for the hits and to drop a few more different, fan pleasing songs in there.
But everyone's favourite songs are different, so they can never please everyone.
