We were told by security at the hyde park show that during the last hour before the band arrived onstage that the gate total had risen to 120,000

WOW!

thought it was just a number that was too high.. you know.. when you say you were at a show with 90.000 people, the next one says 95.000 and before you know it there were about half a million people there. but if they told you so at the gate.. that sounds more reliable...

cool!

I don't think there were that many... More than 92.000, since they probably hadn't counted all the tickets by the time Jon gave that figure. Then again, that was probably added.

My guess is around 92.000 paid people, and maybe htat 120.000 with all the people listening outside in HP...

I know one of the chief organisers who knew the official figures, can't remember the exact figure but it was the high 119000s which obviously they round up. It was only till about 1-2 way through concert that they knew figure, thats a lot of tickets to count after all!!!

I would have to agree with Javier in that it was pretty much a Bon Jovi show at Times Square. I think that when the concert first started there was about 100,000 people. By the time Bon Jovi took the stage...every single street surrounding Times Square was filled with people. I was standing right in front of the stage and there were people hanging out of office buildings watching ths show (Does that count? lol) I don't know if there were 500,000 but there certainly was more than 100,000...

Does anyone remember how many people it were at the Moscow Peace Festival they played at in 1990? It wasn't really a full Bon Jovi show, but still they were the headlining act. I was under the impression that it was 100.000+ at that gig..
