Right. And there wasn't a good reason for that. Oh, wait, there was. John Bongiovi had a hit song on the radio before the band was together. They named the band Bon Jovi to capitalize on that. It was one of the concessions Jon made in his deal. He wanted to have a band, they wanted him to sign solo. That was the compromise. In case you didn't know it, they also wanted him to replace Alec with a younger and better looking player, but Jon fought to keep him. Another thing Jon had to agree to in order to get the deal was record She Don't Know Me.
