Hopefully he will be playing guitar again (not bongos), although as he loves to do it, it's not actually working, just having fun and being paid a ton of dough for it.

J/K - No official announcement anywhere.
Those that have met me and know me for years and years on this board know I don't "claim" to know anyone but I do have close friends that work for the band that is all.

I can vouch for Deb and say that everything that she writes is true. She has never been one of "those in the know" or brags about her information. Always just says what she knows and it turns out true. Also, Nikki has been posting all day on FB and Richie is back and she is getting him ready for the upcoming Europe shows. Unless he has all of a sudden become a fashion model and she is only dressing him for fashion shows.

Did anyone really have a doubt? Who seriously questioned that JBJ would tour Eurooe with no RS? It was never gonna happen...period. JBJ woulda postponed no problemo. He used Xman in states 'cause he could. I saw 2 May shows with X and had a blast, but no matter how I try & convince myself, the no RS factor was lame. Eurooe will have a bunch of epic shows & RS will be on fire.

Well, as everyone knows here, by now, I'm not a Bon Jovi expert - just trying to learn, as I go.

I also saw shows in the states with Phil X. One was in ATL - hubby had bought the package that included the BS Tour and Pit Tickets for our anniversary. He has become a huge Sambora fan and was really looking forward to watching RS play, up close. And, he was looking forward to seeing all of his gear, backstage - that did not happen - and as we never got a honeymoon and have never even traveled out of town for our honeymoon - this was a huge expense/investment for "us". I did everything that I could to get us a refund, but "management" would not budge. So, we got stuck spending our anniversary in a place, in which hubby most especially did not want to be. I enjoyed the concert because we had good seats and I like Jon just as much as RS. Hubby does not. Also, when we got our (vip) lithographs, to add insult to injury, Richie's was not signed.

Does that mean that the lithographs given out to the so called VIP's were real? I never thought those autographs were real - just copies - but it was just one more slap in the face not to have Richie's signed.

I never thought that they should cancel the shows, just thought that fans that had invested so much money, in the tickets, should have been offered options, that's all. And, we were not. Also, I wrote to them, myself, and practically begged for a refund, even went into details with them, as to why, which I really did not want to do. But, as I said, they would not budge. Lesson learned.

So, now the fans in Europe will get the epic shows with Richie?

First, I don't think that Richie is ready to resume touring but that is for another thread, and just my opinion.

Secondly, to be honest, it really pisses me off. That does not mean that I am not happy for the European fans, it just pisses me off, that the US fans were not given options.

Anyway, as I said above, many lessons have been learned, in the last few weeks.

We learn as we go, that is all that we can do ...

Good point, I was thinking about that yesterday.

Remember, when they did the concert at Jazz Fest, and everyone was trying to figure out who the guest guitar player was? If Jon and/or his organization had made an official announcement as to who Phil X was - it could have saved us a lot of time on Google. LOL.

The band could have tweeted the info, how difficult can that be?

Plus, IMHO, Jon should have introduced Phil X at the beginning of the Jazz Fest concert - that also would have saved a lot of speculation and a lot of time spent on Google, but he chose not to, for some reason.

There are just so many rumors floating around, I wish that someone from the Bon Jovi organization would put out some type of announcement, regarding this topic. I don't think it's fair to the fans, not to.

(I'm def. going to miss Phil X's tweets on the upcoming tour dates. No one else from the band bothers with doing that, which is a lost opportunity for them, IMO.)

They could've, and it's very easy. But as Brian put it perfectly in another thread,

this is from bonjovi.com april 28th news

In response to questions about Richie Sambora and Bon Jovi's upcoming performance schedule, the band released the following statement today:

"Our support for Richie is absolute. He is, and will remain, a member of Bon Jovi. Although he will be absent from upcoming shows for the time being, we very much look forward to his healthy return. In the meantime, we will keep our commitment to our fans and continue our tour."

Well at least Jon and co aren't these people who sit on Twitter all day telling us about every little bit of news that goes on in their lives.

Keep the enigma attached.
