the biggest fan for me is not someone who collects all the singles or goes to all the shows to be at the front

but goes to shows just to see/hear them, regardless of where they are seated/stood

there are so many on here who are bigger fans than me (and richer) but i can't think of anyone i've ever heard of who does whole European tours who does not always report back saying how they were in the 2nd row or on the barrier
I am not rich, I have saved a lot money to do 9 shows and I am sure not always 2ed row.
I will try to get a good spot at some of them, but at at least 4 shows I will not make it 2 the first couple of rows cause I am arriving late.
I think what you are saying is not true.
i still think what i'm saying is true

and in my opinion I personally think that makes you a very big fan then - and the right type of fan i'd like if i was a touring musician
Well I respect your opinion! And thanks for telling me I am a big fans and the right type of fan!

Take care

I have seen many shows around europe the last 20 years.. I am not very rich or something like that, I do have kids, but i don`t go to lay down aon a beach when the summer arrives. I spend my money on BJ shows.....saving and making decisions. But that doesn`t make me a bigger fan..no way!
There is no big or better fan....we are all fans, though soemtimes some of us do forget that, and argue with eachother.
Some still think tehy deserve the name : best fan, but the ones who only have the opportunity to go once are maybe as crazy as those who went 800 times. Maybe seen them once makes you a better fan, and going too many times is called obsessed?
I don`t know, but judging isn`t the right way.
Let`s all have a great summer, no matter if we go once or 10 times.
It will be great!

Let me say...I love this board, mostly 'cause it's international and the variety is amazing. I also have a new appreciation for living in the US. I've been to 4 shows within a two-month time span and plan to go to at least 2 for the summer tour. I won't fly but I will drive to see them, of course, work & real life permitting. I don't feel that the amount of shows you attend makes you a bigger fan. There are far too many factors that go into seeing multiple shows like location, finances, time off work, children, etc. I do what I can to go see them and feel that I am the same fan that I was before I got to see them in concert. Going to the shows doesn't change how I feel about the band, it just brings them to life for me for an couple hours and then it's back to my CDs & pictures. It's an awesome experience and for some, one show would be equivalent to a lifetime of shows....for those too unfortunate to not make it!
