Default Who cares what they play, unless you are there

If you are not at the concer, what is it to you what they played? Why does it matter? You were not there to hear it, so really all that concert is to you is words on a page. I just dont get the anger and frustration at the set lists from people who were not at the concert. The average fan goes to 1 concert per tour, so sets from other shows should have no impact on you either way. Sure they can make interesting reading when there is a curveball in there, but who really cares what is played. If you are there.....the concert is awesome no matter what, if you aren't, why worry what they play, you are not going to hear it anyway, whether you think its good or bad.

i agree - frankly i couldn't care less what they played as long as they played it here in oz.... ppl complain that they played nearly the same setlist for their TWO concerts they went to ... think about it .. you guys get the pleasure and honor of seeing them TWO NIGHTS!!! So far i've seen them for a grand total of 50 minutes at Rumba - and while i might complain that htat wasn't long enough, i'm certainly not going to complain about what htey played - it was the best 50 minutes of my life...! So just appreciate it and stop whinging

The reason the set lists matter even though I wasn't at the show, was because it's going to be 95% the same set I see in June. If they change things around drematically, then yes, the sets over the past weeks mean nothing to me, but that isn't going to happen. All this about just enjoying the shows is rubish as well. I will enjoy the shows, a lot, but I'm still going to be disapointed with the set list, however good the concert is.

It's not an honour to see them two nights. I'm looking forward to the concerts, but I'm not in debt to the band, because they allowd me to spend £45 on a ticket, which for the two nights is going to be £90, plus program, T-shirt, and transport, this will cost me over £150!!!!! I'm going to see about 6-7 great bands this summer (Purple, Sprinsteen e.t.c) so it isn't like my summer revovles completely around seeing Bon Jovi!

disagree - best bands have off days

huddersfield 2001 was a boring, unenlightened copout... just 2 days later I saw a different band on stage at milton keynes

Tom, you're missing the point. No matter what means they;re not that interested in the music, and so long as the band do 'the hits' and they can observe how 'cute' Jon is, then it's awsome to them. You know my feelings on Huddersfield, but despite an evident bad performance, people still found the shows amazing! Do you remember that review I did, people sent me hate mail, because I said it was a bad show ....

I'm not ging to bother aruing here, it's evident that this is one of those "bon Jovi can't do anything wrong" topics, where if I do try to make any points, I'm just going to be told that if I don't like it, I should get lost

I would do, but then I'd be suprised in a negative way

At least this way I'm prepaired for a rubish set.

Also, it's quite hard not to follow sets. I do it with bands when I can, for a few months before the shows, and I do like the suprise. But with Bon Jovi it's difficult, when on this board it's a hot topic of discussion, and it's a long time to go avoiding the sets......

I'd have been gutted if I waited all that time to be suprised by the set, and they opened with Bounce!!!!!

sets are a disappointment i go to a show to HEAR the band, not necessarily SEE them
