How damn cheap are you? A lot of money.....yeah right. I used to regularly spend $500 to see my team play football interstate, and I didnt consider that a lot of money. To see a concert is not a lot of money, and if you are seeing an amount of concerts that you think quantifies a lot of money, then why go? If you think it's a lot of money it probably is because you don't really want to spend it on them, so dont. Although the Brits always are a bunch of cheap, [Censored]....renound world over.

I understand everyone's views on this topic. But for those of you tired of hearing the same "classics" year after year after year...Bon Jovi attract many fans, some newer, some diehard, and some that saw them way back when but can't tell you a single song off of Bounce. They have to keep the classics in the setlist, they're what made them famous. Case in point: when I saw them in Chicago earlier this month, there was a guy there who hadn't seen them live since 1986. Now, what do you think he would have preferred to hear? An obscure song that the diehard fans may love or one of the old hits that he remembers? Bon Jovi have to keep in mind that there is a wide range of fans at their shows...they have to keep songs in that will appeal to everyone. Diehard fans are at a disadvantage at a Bon Jovi show...we have heard these songs hundreds of times over the years, and for us they *are* a bit tired. But to a casual fan, they love these songs. Another example: in Philly they sang Diamond Ring and the only ones who knew it WERE the diehards. Everyone else kind of stood there dumbfounded over this song. They can't please everyone, they know that. But so far in the shows I've seen their energy level is rival to the Brotherhood Tour in 1989. I've had a fantastic time at the shows I've been to so far, even though there wasn't much of a difference in the setlists. I'm hoping to hear some rarities in the shows I'm going to in the next few weeks. But if not, that's ok too. I'll still pay my $75.00 to get in and have a great time for a few hours, and then do it all over again this summer.

I think no one here is saying that they shouldn't play the hits AT ALL. Is it too much to ask that a couple of songs change from concert to concert? I'm not hoping that the whole setlist would change but that I would hear more than 25 different songs when going to 8 concerts....

Well, let me just inform you that I am a student studying for my second year n Geology and £40 is a lot of money for me, especially since I am already ~£1000 overdrawn! So don't you dare criticise me for being f**king cheap! I even bought my girlfriend's ticket for her, so if that doesn't make me a supportive fan spending over £80 on a couple of tickets (not to mention the £30 its gonna cost me to get to Hyde Park), tell me what the hell does?!

Oh and btw - lucky f**king you for having the cash to go and see your footy team play. I've never been to any event other than to see BJ in 2001 cos I can't afford it!

Yeah, being a student sucks big time financially. I have to get the full loan of £4000 a year and work my ass off over the summer to pay rent, bills, tuition fees let alone feed myself. My parents can't contribute either cos they aren't exactly on the wealthy side of average. It really pisses me off that someone who's just bitter cos they can't see BJ on stage this tour takes shots like that and calls us cheap just cos we aren't happy with the setlists. I think they've just proved who the real w*nkers are haven't they

Hey letitrock what are you studying btw? Which uni are you at?

Yeh I'm from Manchester, and my parents are just above average and so i have to pay the top fee, just as i didn't get EMA or apply for any grants or anything like that EVER...

+ on top of the fees there's accomodation, food etc which really adds up a lot... and living in the city means prices are higher since there are no big sainsbury's or ASDA's around for a few miles

and now they want to increase fees to up to £21,000 !!! and if they are introduced i'll have to pay the top amount

I'm doing history at Oxford - back this saturday for Easter though so i'll do my music.

History at Oxford eh? Sounds quite cool - bet the workload's quite heavy though. I've got a friend who goes to Oxford and he says it's a lot of work!

The whole loan thing ain't that great. It comes back to bite you in the ass when you leave. City prices too! - yep, can empathise with you on that one. Just glad I don't go to a London uni where its practically daylight robbery!

Hope you have a great Easter though - not too much work to interfere with your music.

i've had 24 essays to do since october so it's a lot - but not as much workload as other subjects
