Yeah the 02 is great, really great. But what about the rest? The NEC, Wembley Arena, MEN Arena etc; for the most part they are soul-less, cold, cavernous spaces with (in most cases) terrible sound.

I'd rather just have LESS stadium shows for the UK.
ie. just do Manchester/Cardiff/somewhere in the Midlands (Cov/Wolves)/London. The other, more minor, shows (eg. Bristol/Hull) that we've been getting on the last few tours are un-neccessary in my opinion.
Surely 4 totally sold-out stadiums is better than 6-7 half-empty ones?
I like Wembley Arena, as I mentioned earlier in the thread Bon Jovi were great there even though I was right at the back, and I've also seen several other top gigs there (including the best gig I've ever seen, Pearl Jam last year, and I was way up in the upper level seating for that too)

Stadiums are more the souless, cavernous, cold spaces you describe IMO ... the white or grey, plastic floor they put down for a start, it's so clinical looking that it feels like going to the doctor

Arena shows would be a nightmare to get tickets for here!
The arenas nowadays are pretty good, The O2 for sure along with Wembley Arena, plus other arenas like the new Echo Arena in Liverpool, along with Birmingham, Liverpool and many others. I love Nottingham Arena myself, although a bit small for Jovi!

I love seening Jovi at Milton Keynes , i think the atmosphere there is amazing but having said that theres alot to be said for having a seat ready and waiting for you in an arena and theres nothing to say you cant get up and do what you'd normally do in a stadium.

Wembley Arena is my favourite indoor venue, always get a great atmosphere there and the sound is pretty good!

I myself haven't experience a Bon Jovi Arena tour and i'm sure it would be amazing to be in an enclosed space where your more intimate! The only thing like said before i hate about indoor gigs is most tickets are seated and trying to get an 02 ticket last year was awful! and when i did get a really good seat they didnt except my card and i lost the tickets :O i was gutted

Personally Milton Keynes in 2006 was my first Bon Jovi concert and actually my first ever gig! I was totally blown away, the sound was perfect and the atmosphere like any Bon Jovi gig was electric and thoroughly enjoyed it!

Twickenham even though i loved it, the sound i thought was pretty poor for the first half of the gig. Thats one of the problems with stadium tours you can lose something but saying that at milton keynes it was all perfect!

I defeniately want to see the guys in an arena before they stop but im just as happy with stadium tours

Sound-wise arena, crowd-wise definitaly stadium for me. So for Bon Jovi it would be a stadium, if I ever were to like and see a Celine Dion then arena.

I hope that's just a random example you came up with
