The shows in Calgary and Edmonton are "bought shows." A promoter paid Bon Jovi to come and do them - Calgary for the Stampede and Edmonton to ride on Calgary's coat tails

As much as there is an unfortunate ring of truth in it, your post still seems odd to me ... you kinda seem to be saying its a bad thing they're playing places that they haven't for a long time

Sorry, I do know what you mean, I just seem to be nit picking today

Why does it sound like I'm suggesting it's a bad thing? When every tour is announced I firstly look to where they're playing that's close to me, then next check for the 'different' [I'm trying to make this sound as inoffensive as possible] locations. I have contacts in all sorts of countries - Australia and South America included, and I genuinely feel for them. Bon Jovi aren't short of a few dollars, and if contempories such as the Stones, U2 and even Pearl Jam can reach these sorts of places and not simply stick to the States, Europe and Japan then I'm positive that Bon Jovi can.

By treating other countries to promo gigs is all well and good but then to be left out of the tour... it just doesn't seem to make sense.

What has happend? I think it's very nice that they play outside US, UK and Germany, but what made them play in Puerto Rico and Venezuela.
If someone bet on that one year ago, he would have been a rich man now

No offens to those who live in these places, I envy each one of you!!!
perhaps its so the people in these so called wierd places have the chance to see a monster act......dont you think bands sell music in these places......the people will probably be ecstatic over seeing someone like bon jovi
