Default Why Cover Versions!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just wondered why BJ are persisting in playing not only Shout these days (no pun intended, god, I wish they would play that!) but are also playing two further covers to end the show!!!
That to me is a waste of a good 15mins - why play cover versions when there are so many GREAT songs that they have recorded that they don't play. Like;
Wild is the Wind
I'd Die For You
Dry County
These Days
It's Hard Letting You Go
Most the other songs on the 'forgotten' CD 'These Days'!
If I Was Your Mother
Never Say Goodbye
Fear

Oh my god, how cool would 'Fear' or 'Save a Prayer' be live!!!!!!!????

NO MORE COVERS!!!!!!

It depends on what the song is, and how well it's done. I have live versions of Johnny B Goode, Rockin' All Over The World, I Don't Like Mondays, It's Only Rock & Roll and A Little Help From My Friends, and I like them. It is cool to hear them sing these tracks. I am getting a little fed up with Shout, but that's about it.

I like them doing cover songs. Most of the times they play it very well and don't ruin the songs like so many other bands who cover old songs do. Our charts are full of horrible covers.

It's not 15 minutes for starters... most of these little cover songs are a few minutes each , at most. Have you BEEN to any of the shows that actually end with those classic songs - everyone is up and dancing and singing and they're still bopping around on their way out of the building and into their cars... it's one big party.

So you guys who DON'T like when the guys cover songs, what do you do at the shows when they do the covers?

I bet you are still singing along with the rest of the crowd, but just decide to complain now.
