See that's why I hated the live versions. Richie's over-driven tone for the intro absolutely killed all that the song was about to me and sounded really bad.

It needed the tempo lifting a bit (not much) and more drums to drive it forwards. If they'd have done that, it would have got a better reception than it did IMO.

I remember there was a big conversation about it sometime last year, and most people hated the heavier intro. I think I was one of the few that liked it.

Superman Tonight was awesome in acoustic, it was nice seeing it played that way.

I hope they ditch the first 3 songs from the album on the next tours. I would love to see LTOR, TIMS and BPL being played every few nights on the next tour

I have heard live one time LTOR, Thorn, WFTWM and three times WWWB and WWBTF. All worked for me, but my favs are LTOR and Thorn. Maybe because I like these song a lot.
I think Happy ow is great live song, maybe some day I will hear it live.

WWBTF worked for many. It is because it was the single. Most people on shows donīt know all song like die hard fans do...

The acoustic ST was beyond beautiful and part of me wishes the song was recorded that way.

I agree and disagree with something almost everyone said.

My two biggest disappointments from the Circle portion of the last tour was that BPL wasn't played (or even opened) at most shows. It is one of the few great songs on the albums and it wasn't used. the other disappointment is that WFTWM was played at most shows... terrible song and a waste of time and the cheesy graphics didn't help much. A close third would be that Learn to Love would have been a great song to breakout at the acoustic portion of the circle every now and then...

WWWB and ST were probably overplayed but I would have been disappointed if I didn't get to see them live. Yeah, they are not crowd pleasers but there are worse songs they could have chose to play.

LTOR wasn't played enough.... the same goes for Thorn. Again, a better song from the Circle and it wasn't utilized (enough).

Bullet never grew on me so IMO it was played 3 times too many... but i'd take it over Lost highway

Fast Cars, if it had been played, could have been a disaster... But then again it could have built to a Story of my Life type experience (a great live song). Just depending if they had slightly reworked the dynamics and how much energy they put into it.

The first 30 seconds of Happy Now as an opener worked. I hate the song but I'll admit the opening riff works. It has such a terrible vocal melody throughout. So that, mixed with the fact that no one knew it, made it a bad opener.

Oh yeah, WWBTF should have been only slightly rotated after the first leg. It was not a hit. It was not a real crowd pleaser. Yeah, jon got people to throw their hands up on the "yeahs", but I'd prefer Raise Your hands or even Captain Crash... yeah I said it Lastly, I am not too terribly disappointed that Live Before You Die wasn't played. I like the music and melody but the lyrics are so corny... like a leftover from Lost Highway.

The original ST is one of my favourite songs of all time so I can't stretch that far... but, it annoys me how Bon Jovi release supposed tour highlights on their FB page that we've all seen before and never set the world on fire in the first place. We all know that they record and keep each show, so why the hell not release their footage from the screens and the soundboard audio for the acoustic ST, it was simply stunning, it's a waste if it's just left alone from now on.

I wish they'd release a DVD "The Circle". All Circle songs played live....which is what 6 or 7 they actually played? Be fine with me. Be great to have quality live (besides U2)LTOR, Thorn, Happy Now, ST etc....but maybe skip WFTWM on this DVD.

Well perfection for me would be that they release the HRC show (or maybe Lisbon/Dublin, basically another big one) with extras such as the ST acoustic performance and the Thorn with the extended solo at the end etc. Couple that with a nice backstage feature, making of the circle type thing (like the Bounce ones, which were a great way to see the band in the studio imo) and they'd be onto a winner. Won't happen though.

The songs they chose to play aren't good.
