Why do people go to multiple shows?!

I've seen nothing but whinging from certain 'fans' that are lucky enough to go to several shows, that the set lists are too samey.
Personally, i limit myself to 1 show per tour, not so much through choice. But at least that way, i know that the one show i go to will be special, whatever they play.
In some ways i don't undertstand why some fans, got to show after show. Because surely whoever the band, and how good they are, and what set lists they play, your going to get bored with them.
Some people are saying (you know who your are) that the guys only give there all when playing for X number of fans, and take their foot off the peddle, if it's a smaller audience. That's complete rubbish. Some of the best gigs they've done, is in small venues, and they give their all whether its 1000 or 100,000.
If you think about it, the band are no different to an athelete or a football team. Their going to have days, when they feel like shit or for whatever reason, can't hit that 'zone' that makes the show that extra bit special. You can't always explain it, but it dosen't mean their not trying their best.
You should just be thankful, you get to see them in the 1st place, because there's going to be a point in time, when they decide to call it a day.
Maybe then the 'whingers' will have something to whinge about!

Exactly! And, I am one of those! Although I may have different opinions of each show and of course, would love to hear certain songs they never do but HEY! I am more than grateful I can follow them so much and never regret it! Yesterday it was incredible, definitely a very especial night!

That's far enough. But it's the people who go to multiple shows, and moan that they aren't getting the set lists that they want , that get on my nerves.

I went to multiple shows to experience different audiences, & because there is more chance of hearing a rare song.

As a result I got to hear These Days 3 Times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also the rest of the show rocks (usually)

LOL That's about the same thing I was thinking. I went to two shows in the states this year. Why? First and foremost, because I absolutely love to see the band live. But also simply because I could. I am seriously contemplating making a dash to New Jersey still to see the Giants shows. Again, the reason why? Because if I really really want to, I can. I am fortunate enough to be able to afford to do it.

I totally agree with Joviforever though, that seeing only one show makes it that much more special. I have said the exact same thing before. But, now that I've seen multiple shows, I realize that each one was still special in it's own way. The setlists varied only very slightly, but the atmosphere and the crowd were quite different at each of the shows. I've seen Bon Jovi live 6 times now, and I've never been let down by a performance. When you are there, each show is the best you've ever seen...until the next one of course. Hopefully, I"ll get the chance to see them this summer in New Jersey. I have a Jovi friend who's encouraging me to come up to see them. I'm still thinking about it Beth!!!!!

Because.

After the first 6 shows we went on this tour I always said that how can it be better every time. Every show is special in it's own way, the only ones that weren't very special to me were Glasgow and Manchester and we did 10 shows!!

In a nutshell.

If I get a chance to go to multiple shows I will, and no one has heard me complain about the shows. The worst I said (about Glasgow) was that it was basic, and it really wasn't, cause we got to hear the best version of KTF I've ever heard live. So, there are some special moments in each and every show. The show is more than the setlist, and the audience adds to that. Every audience is different, strangely enough (I didn't believe it at first, but it's true).

There are better and "less better" shows, but I would never complain, cause there's always something there that makes it worthwhile.
