yeah little things always make a concert special, no matter how good or bad the setlist looks on paper. a simple one where jon said 'fcuk it, lets play' at hyde park was just awesome in it self, and gets the blood pumping! or a certain richie solo etc

This time i went to 5 shows and do not regret doing so. Each show is different in its own way. You hear different songs depending on where you are, you meet people who werent at the show the day before. For me its everything before during and after the show, thats why i go to as many as i do.
And if i could i would go to a few more too.

The worst I said (about Glasgow) was that it was basic, and it really wasn't, cause we got to hear the best version of KTF I've ever heard live.

Surely it wasnŽt better than HP version.

If IŽd get the change to see more than one show, IŽd go and see. I saw Bruce two times in Helsinki and the shows were so much different. And the crowd was different compared to the first night. So, little things make it a big change.

Personally, i limit myself to 1 show per tour, not so much through choice. But at least that way, i know that the one show i go to will be special, whatever they play.
In some ways i don't undertstand why some fans, got to show after show. Because surely whoever the band, and how good they are, and what set lists they play, your going to get bored with them.
Some people are saying (you know who your are) that the guys only give there all when playing for X number of fans, and take their foot off the peddle, if it's a smaller audience. That's complete rubbish. Some of the best gigs they've done, is in small venues, and they give their all whether its 1000 or 100,000.
If you think about it, the band are no different to an athelete or a football team. Their going to have days, when they feel like **** or for whatever reason, can't hit that 'zone' that makes the show that extra bit special. You can't always explain it, but it dosen't mean their not trying their best.
You should just be thankful, you get to see them in the 1st place, because there's going to be a point in time, when they decide to call it a day.
Maybe then the 'whingers' will have something to whinge about!
I;ve been practicing the day after a concert (where I've been stood up for hours, didn't get back till very early)and after a tiring day at college, i.e headache e.t.c. the practice is in a tiny tiny room, too small for us to be in comfortably (drums guitar keyboards (before my big keyboard set up days)). Drums right next to you, amps turned up to compete and overpower the drums, and like I said, all in a very enclosed room. This makes things unbarably loud, more so than you'll have at a concert. It was also in a room where we coudln't open the windows, so second to feeling a bit ill it was also increadily stuffy. You woudln't believe in these practices how into the music we got, how much we gave, how actually creative, and well we were playing. My point is that even in the worst conditions, not feeling like it, you can give a lot, and can still get into if. ****, I was once very very ill, had to leave all my kit at school and just went to bed when I got in, about as bad as I've felt in the last few years. But the practice still went ahead, we still played, and it was still good!

Bon Jovi don't have to contend with that, and they have an audiance to play for. There is no excuse not to give their all every performance. Of cource like I said somedays you may feel particularly great, which is when your all is more, but even when you're feeling bad you should give it everything.... I mean for ****s sake, that's why they get paid millions!!!! And before you say they are giving their all stop. You can tell these things, you can see when somebody is really going for it onstage, and when somebody is just going along... I mean the best example is within the band, compare the performances from Jon at Wolverhampton to that of Richie. There is the difference between somebody playing like it's the last time he'll ever be up there, and somebody who's just there because the venue is booked

If you can't understand why people go to multiple shows then you never will. I've seen Deep Purple 6 times in the last 18months, and I've never felt bored, or tired of it. Live musc is a feeling you can't better, well only by playing yourselt. So to see a live set 10times on a tour you get a buzz everytime.....

Music isn't a bit like sport, sport is about competing, music isn't... They couldn't be more different.

Yet there the millioneres playing in front of 93000 fans and you can barly be classed a pub band. Can you seriously compare your performances to bon jovis? do you have that big a ego?

Not the performance, but the effort yes that's comparable.

What I'm saying is that it isn't acceptable not to give 100%, and that people will give 100% reguardless of how they feel... Maybe my 100% isn't as good as Jon's 75%, but I'd give 100% whenever I play.

But who are YOU to declare when the band isn't giving 100%? It's just your opinion - you think you work harder than Bon Jovi. OK. Come back in 20 years and say the same thing. Why is it that every argument over the show not being good enough or the set lists not being what you like or the band not being "into it" all come back to MONEY? Is that all you think it's about? It's an ugly thread that keeps creeping back into some of these posts....

Well I did 9 shows this tour, started off in Barcelona and ended in London. I wanted to do more but 9 was the maximum possible this time. Why I did 9.... well I like bon jovi and I love to see them playing live. It's amazing to see the stage, performance and hear rare songs. This tour i heart Diamond ring, These days, Never say goodbye, I'd die for you live. I call myself lucky
I loved efvery single show I did. The memories I have are great. I met the best persons on the road. And if I had the change to start it all over again right now I would have done more....

Living on the road is one wild ride.....

Yes you're right, money doesn't matter.... I was looking at expensive keybaords yesterday, I'll go and buy two tomorrow. I'd like to go over to Germany to see the Scorpions, I'd like to go to Giants Stadium.... Oh ****, the money tree is all out, well never mind.

Silly prick. I can't afford everything, if I spend Ł100 (and that's how much one show costs with food accomodation trasport e.t.c) then it's a lot of money for me, I can't afford to go to everything so yes, when I spend that much money and don't get what I paid for them I feel cheated. I could have with that money seen Deep Purple in Liverpool last night, or gone out to the COmedy Store, or even been sure of enough money to buy my piano, but I chose to go to see Bon Jovi.....

When Bon Jovi do a free concert with a poor set, and a short show then I won't be able to complane, but as they are more than happy to take my money, I feel I have the right to expect what the name Bon Jovi gives... If you buy an expensive sofa and it rips, and within 2 months it's rubbish, do you say 'oh well, it's only money after all, I'll just hope next time this doesn't happen'???? You silly little ****!
