Also, there are several Jovitalkers that went to see the band at Giants stadium on the HAND tour, and saw the band live in Europe as well. They all said that an American crowd sucks compared to a European crowd.

The VH1 broadcast of One Wild Night live 2001 shows what I mean. You see people just standing there with their drink chatting during the chorus of Prayer. Something like that just doesn't happen in Europe. It just doesn't happen.

Have you ever been to a European show? A half packed stadium in Europe is still louder than anything your fantastic Giants crowd has come up with. For ****s sake, you sir, you make me tired. I can understand you being proud of your crowd, but we still take the piss out of you.

Jesus titty****ing christ.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

"Sir" take a look at this video - Now if you can show me a European crowd that beats that, I will shut my mouth. This is at MSG by the way. As with Giant's Stadium.. - Simply mind blowing. The crowd is 100 x louder than any European crowd.

You don't know what you are talking about, as does your friend for that matter. I have never been to a European show, but have had friends go and say that the atmosphere is quite different (not in a bad way), just not as loud as Giant's or MSG or anywhere in the Tri State. I don't know about anywhere in the States as I have only been to Jovi shows around my area, but there is nothing like them. Remember, Jon is from Jersey "sir."

Jason F.

You're seriously basing things on shit quality videos on YouTube shot from one specific location in a crowd? I was at Manchester and Twickenham this year and though the last show wasn't sold-out, the crowd was still ****ing incredible! I've not been to Giants so I'm not ****ing stupid enough to be so arrogant as to make claims like you are, so unless you've been here yourself you should climb out of your own arse! The fact that the rare songs over in America seem to get very little response only attests to the fact that the majority of an audience is there for the hits - but here in Europe they recognise the fact that we appreciate hearing older material, they mix the setlists up more, and the crowd sure as hell appreciate it!

If I had said yes.. No I haven't.. But like that other big mouth said, his friend has been to a Giant's Stadium show, and I have had two friends go to a European show, so that's why I brought this up. I also brought this up because I am sick of people downgrading US crowds.

Please read my posts before you make stupid assumptions.

I said I have been to every show in the Tri State area that I have posted, including the MSG one. I don't doubt the Manchester and Twickenham shows being awesome, I am sure they were, I saw videos and called my buddies that went to the Twickenham show, but they both said that it wasn't even half full, so obviously something went wrong there.

I will be kind here and state that I was wrong in jumping to conclusions, but how about Supersonic? He can?

Regards,

Jason F.

Really? Listen to the MSG one and you will definitely think different. My conclusion is that many fans will only sing the chorus as Jon usually can't hit the high notes, he allows the fans to take over. I know this because I actually go to the shows!

The person that Seb mentioned is Thierry, and he is a long-standing member of this board who knows what he's on about! He's been to plenty shows around Europe and if he says Giants isn't as good then I, and many here, would trust his judgement.

And people aren't 'downgrading' the US crowds - we're just pointing out that most fans at shows only go for the big hits, it's a simple fact. Even here in Europe there's a large portion of any crowd who wouldn't recognise some of the more rare material - but here they play a couple of dozen huge stadiums and damn near always sell them out, and hold their attention throughout.

Aloha !

Very brilliant, America knows the words of Bon Jovi's biggest song. Clap clap.

Now let me hear a video like this from MSG or Giants:

Show me an American crowd as loud as that one from Germany. Show me an American crowd that knows the words of the chorus of These Days and is as loud as this one. Show me an American crowd that doesn't take it's beer break during Richie's performance and I'll ****ing shut up.

That'll be all. I'm just going to stop replying to you because you're not making any ****ing sense, all you're doing is posting this patriotic stuff about how fantastic Giants is. it ****ing isn't, and every fan from Europe that's ever seen the band there knows it.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I totally agree with this post. I read somewhere that Jon had stated that the crowd atmosphere is different (not naturally for worst or better), but that they will play different songs because certain crowds enjoy hearing certain material, but in the US, we have heard every song, or at least almost every song that has been played in Europe in the US, so it can go both ways.

As for the downgrading business, yes you kinda were.. Maybe not you precisely, but that Seb guy has. Both of us are wrong for portraying what we have not witnessed.

Jason F.
