Why does Jon sing out of his nose?

i'd choose C neither where C is:

I clearly know more than you do on this. WHY would you complain that Jon isn't singing like David Coverdale or Robert Plant or Ian Gillian... he NOT any of those people. Everyone is born with a voice and everyone sings differently... Jon couldn't sing like those singers if he wanted to.. that's not the kind of voice Jon has EVER had. So I don't give a crap what they sang like then, or now... It's been documented extensively that Jon was killing his throat, his vocal chords, his voice the way he was using them in the 80s. So now he takes care of this voice, has lessons, exercises, etc...
Maybe Plant or Coverdale didnt' have those problems and that's why they sound like they did then... Jon wasn't using his voice properly, was doing damaged, found out how to better utilize it and made the appropriate changes. Sometimes there's nasal tendencies but most of the time, he's singing from the diaphragm, not the headvoice... If this is too complicated to understand, my regrets. Jon's voice is Jon's voice. It's unique. He was killing it. It sounded one way. He learned how to use it as an instrument. Now it's stronger than ever. He's healthier than ever and he sounds great. If you like it the old way, go sit at home with a headset and listen to 7800...

I honestly think he sounds so much better now.

erk, when he sings Its My Life live sometimes his voice sounds terrible, unable to hold notes

Im not saying he cant sing now or anthing, just when you look at a performance from like the 1987 MTV Awards, he looks like hes enjoying singing more than now where you can sometimes see a pained expression on his face

You could HEAR the pain in his voice on the SWW tour. It's hard for me to even listen to them because I'm so empathic. I literally feel pain when I hear him sing like that. I've always hated sore throats more than just about anything else so I think I'm over-sensitive to it. LOL
