Acoustic performances huh? From all the shows on the Bounce tour, 7 had half that acoustic set and only one had a full acoustic show. And it wasn't for the fans. It was done to complete the acoustic album. Not because they wanted to give the fans that something special. Sure, it was a nice bonus, but if that one album would not have been promised to the record company, the acoustic sets would not have been there.
The complete re-arrangements all sucked, or do you really want to hear those re-arrangements from TLFR? The acoustic version of Runaway is just boring live and would only work in a club or something. And the TLFR project is something almost every fan tries to forget as soon as possible. A changed intro to Prayer isn't really that hard, instead of the talkbox improvising you get some guitar improvising, for the rest it's played the same way since 1988, with the exception of the shows from 1995 that had no a capella beginning. The lyric changes can be counted on one hand, same for the added solo's.
The examples you give are poor, which shows exactly that it's all automatic pilot, and not interesting at all most times. They rehearsed 1 week for the Bounce Tour, and we all know what the result was. Almost every show the same songs, like usual. And the same core of the setlist. Again. For the 245324th time.
In the end they're just lazy ****ers. If they wouldn't be lazy, they'd do something special every show. It's all about the "people visit is anyway, why try harder?" attitude.
