Default Why I'll Be There For You?

I thought Stranger In This Town did well in Europe and bombed in the US..

If that's so, why did Richie play Stranger so many times in the US and so few, if he actually did, in Europe?

Not sure thought, maybe it was Undiscovered Soul that worked in Europe. I don't remember.

Another thing is, is it fair that they play Blaze almost every single night (and Blood Money sometimes) and not even one of Richie's songs?

Blaze is the only Jon song the majority of the crowd would know. The majority of the crowd don't associate the band with anything other than Jon so the likelihood of them knowing a Richie solo song is very slim. Cue thousands of people leaving for the toilets and bars and, before you know it, the energy the show had has evaporated. IBTFY goes over really well with the stadium crowds who are very difficult to get on your side, so I'd say it's a great call.

And Blood Money? People that appreciate Blood Money have to appreciate Stranger

Even though I get what you say. It's Jon. Damn Jon.

Still prefer Jon singing it though...

Blaze was on Crossroads so it's now a band song not just a solo tune. Is it fair? Maybe not, but ultimately, it's his band and he can do what he likes.

I'm not complaining anyway...blaze is my favourite tune ever. Happy to hear that anytime.

EDIT: they haven't played Blood Money at any of the recent shows. Gutted about that.

Alot of people in Frankfurt didn't know what Blood Money was regardless of the fact its a Jon song.

Most people see Blaze as a band song. Fair or not they do, since it was on Cross Road and the band has played it SO often. If Jon pulled out a DA song, or hell even when they pull out Blood Money most people don't know it.

Actually, Stranger has only been played 8 times on this tour, and not since February 28. It was done on night 7 in Newark, 4 times in Canada (Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver), in Osaka, and just twice during the U.S. leg (Chicago and Washington). It really is too bad that Richie stopped doing it. I'm so glad that I went to Chicago.

I've been meaning to look this up, but maybe someone knows. Did Richie regularly take lead on anything before he started doing IBTFY? I know he's been doing that song for a few tours now.
