I wouldn't mind it if he was still rotating it with These Days and Stranger. But he did it 2 nights in a row in Atlanta. I'd have loved to have gotten one of the other songs again. I was really lucky to get all 3 songs at my first 3 shows, but after that, IBTFY at the remaining 4. Obviously I'm a big Richie fan, and I do love his rendition of IBTFY, but I bet I could love another song, too!

(All the Jon fans will have a fit, but I'd like to see what Richie could do with TAALS. The bluesy feel of it seems right for Richie. Obviously, his version would be different than Jon's, but I think it could be good. No chance, though, since Jon did it again.)

I'm glad I got to hear Stranger In This Town in Vancouver. I agree that he does a great job with IBTFY, and I prefer his version to Jon's version on most days.

The last time Richie played Stranger in the UK was at Milton Keynes 96. I like Richie doing a song but I dont think he needs to do one every night. How about a duet between J and R on il be there for you??? I reckon that would please most people sitll.

My ideal version of IBTFY would be Richie singing the first verse and chorus, then jon joining in and doing the rest of the song like the original (so you can hear Richies backing vox!)

I too wish Richie would switch it up as to what song he sings, this is indeed the third tour in a row where's he's done IBTFY, and while it's a great performance, surely there'd be nothing wrong with him doing a different song

This brings me to another point I've been thinking about recently .... how come IBTFY is the one ballad that's been played at nearly every show for God knows how long, whereas until recently the other ballad all got relegated to rare status? I know it was a number 1 single in the US, but they have had other hit ballads, I just wondered why they all seemed to fall by the wayside in recent years whereas IBTFY didn't?

richie doing TAALS his voice would fit that song so well. I want rich to do the accousticy/bluesy version of IBTFY like he did on his solo tours, i love that version.

At Hampden on the HAND tour Richie sung it but the crowd didn't shut up with the "whoa-oh's" until Jon came out and finished the song off.

That worked quite well...lol.
