Default Why not sell Recordings of shows

Why dont Bon Jovi welcome technology and sell cd's or even dvd's of the show's you have just been to straight afterwards.
Obviously it would have to be altered a bit for stadium concert's ,to deal with the shear amount .i.e a link to webiste to download it or something.
But for the likes of the Pru it could have easily been done.
Bands like Linkin Park have been doing this for a bit now and works really well.

It would be gd....but it'd possibly mean that we'd then get even less rarities like Dry COunty, Livin In Sin etc... because rarities are usually of late songs which Jon cant sing night in night out...and just struggles past on the odd occasion.... so he probably wouldnt have the concience to give it a go if it was going to be on a cd or dvd for ever and ever!

Regardless of how good or bad you think they are now,you are saying that if you were at a concert "doesnt matter who is playing"and you had a great time and loved the show you wouldnt be tempted to get a cd or dvd of that concert if it was available to you..
Not everybody will want one but for the people who do still think they are great how could that be commercially terrible its not that expensive and would prob have a better profit margin than the T-shirts

You cant buy a dvd to show you havent been to,they are only available after the concert is finished,so each night is unique if it is a crap concert nobody will buy a dvd of it(obviously you will get the few-collectors)
People will share thats going to happen but no more so than youtube, the average Joe isnt going to be searching for the crap shows. They will want to get their hands on the good ones(providing there is some)
Its always the good shows that get passed around

yeah right, by the time that will happen by any musical artist, all member of BJ are six feet under the ground.

I though you were more referring to what Pearl Jam did.
