There have been a lot of reviews on the backstage site for the Pru shows, Canada and Japan shows. And I actually do agree with you Terri on your theory that folks get the wind taken out of their sails here after they are told the show had to suck because the set list was crap.

I'm also planning to go to the Chicago and Greensboro (my hometown) shows!!

Living In Sin, Right Side Of Wrong, the return of Lay Your Hands On Me after so long and Richies version of These Days, made night 3, one of my all time fave BJ shows and I've seen 24 so far. It's right up there. London or NJ? That's a tough one!

Very true. This is why I didn't write any concert reviews from the three Prudential Center, NJ shows I attended. Certain other forum-members ruin that, not only for yourself, but for everyone else. Shame huh?!
As this is supposed to adress me (and surely will be deleted shortly after I've written it):
I am not trying to ruin anything - the ones who are ruining their legacy and memories of great past concerts are called Jon, Richie, David, Tico, Hugh and the other nameless ones who are standing on stage with one of the best Rock bands from 1984 - 2006. Sure people might have fun seeing a BJ 2007/2008 show (I saw one myself in 2007 which was an ok one but I was more impressed by the venue than by the show itself) but I guess 99,9% of those who were there in the 90's (or even 80's) have to admit, that this band right now is so far away from their prime like the Pope is from becoming a grandfather. Everyone else is lying or pretening that they are still relevant. Maybe that has something to do with the ticket prices. If I paid that lot of money and saw a show in which the whole LH album would be played I wouldn't publicy admit that I made a mistake by buying a ticket.
And I certainly have better ways to spend money instead of flying to the US and see them doing 10 non sold out concerts in a row at Prudential. If my memory serves me right someone flew over and saw at least three of them and has a few ahead in 2008. Well the money is spent and you sure have to say "Yeah it's great". If you be true to yourself you gotta admit that the great days of Bon Jovi are gone and this is probably the lowpoint in their whole career at the moment. Great to see that lately some people here are backing this opinion. I don't know how many posts from other users have been deleted who are as critical as me when it oomes to LH . So I am happy to say I won't witness any 2008 BJ shows and the (pretty ok) O2 show will be my last BJ concert EVER, if they do not return with a really good record. I don't wanna end up being a critcless fan who says "yeah the record is shit but I will go and see them anyway because I always do".
And that is fair enough to say or am I wrong ? I am tired of all those who are pretending like BJ are the hottest thing around right now which definetely isn't the case. Sure those are angry about me. And if a moderator of a BJ board deletes my posts just because he is one of those who spent a shitload of money to see BJ in 2007/2008 (and maybe started already to think why he did that) then this is a rather sad affair.
I copied that message (like all those deleted) and hope this one won't have the same fate.

What if you didn't write any reviews because you thought you made the mistake of your life going there and thought thoses shows sucked?!
Just a theory but then again.....

Just curious, did you read my reviews of the PRU shows?

It has nothing to do with "pretending". I wouldn't spend the money on a ticket if I didn't enjoy seeing the shows on this tour. And I am one who has seen shows in every decade starting in 1985. I have enjoyed the shows in each decade for what they are. There were great, good, and bad shows in all the decades.

I for one really like LH, for me, it's up there with Jon's DA and the TD record. You don't like it fine, but don't spend your time trying to convince those of us that like the record and the shows in support of that record that they have to suck just because you don't care for it.

No, I didn't get every song I'd like have liked, but I got Living In Sin (still the only night on the LH tour that it was played, I think), and Richie brought me to tears with TD. I don't regret the 14-hour drive home the next day (on 3 hours of sleep) one little bit. I just regret that I couldn't work it so that I could see more than one show while I was there. Because I had such a good time, I'm going to 4 more shows (5 if I can get a ticket to the newly-announced date in Greensboro, NC) on this tour. 41 days to Chicago I, and I can't wait!
That's exactly what I say: If you see them the first time you might be impressed. If you're a long time fan seeing them in every decade since the 80Äs the TD version will bring tears to your eyes also (but certainly not because it is a great one I am afraid!). I always loved TD to death - being played in its original version with a passionate Jon singing his heart out. Now all you get is Richie singing it (whose voice doesn't suit the song at all) and a fiddler instead of a guitar solo. Understand me now that I am pissed when I see something like that ????

I praised two of them (the 28th and the 9th) and trashed one (the 10th)
I'd seen them once on Bounce and twice on HAND for what it's worth.

Maybe I'll see you "on the road" some place, Deb!

Delta finally ran a fare sale for Chicago that went to the end of February, and I got a great deal. There are even dog shows at McCormick Place (not far from the United Center if I'm not mistaken) that weekend. I'm not going to take dogs (like I did for the Newark weekend), but I'll be able to visit some friends from the midwest, and then make them jealous when I leave the dog show to go see Bon Jovi! Now, if Richie just does Stranger one night . . .
