Nickelback I don't think it reminds me of Nickelback!

Lightning Crashes, The Dolphins Cry, Rattlesnake, Selling The Drama, Simple Creed, Overcome - they **** rock!
Hey we'd had a bit to drink at the time, lol! I'm going to get the CD back off him when I next see him, I really liked it.
Cool - I mean not only about the cd, but also the drinking! :P

Cheers!

LOL Mike! Nah, we can handle it! bring it on!

But letitrock, have you thought about the fact that there just isn't that many bands out there that could hold a candle to our boys? I personally like Whitesnake but I don't think they would upstage them. It would just be blatantly obvious that they haven't trancended like BJ have and maybe a tad embarrasing too. - BJ 's stage set is second to none and they are one of the few "old school" rock bands still selling out stadiums world wide.
I remember Van Halen (with Hagar) at Wembley stadium back in 95 and yeah, they were good, but BJ did infact blow them out of the water!
You gotta admit, those three nights were amazing and that 3 night record at the stadium has only ever been rivaled by the Stones.

I also think Live are gonna be very good and will warm us all up nicely for the main act, as Matchbox Twenty did on the last UK tour.

I think there will be another support band in the UK, there is usually two, but maybe they will go with just Live and give them a longer set? guess we'll know soon enough!
And did you see The Sterophonics?? they sucked in Germany! We were all falling asleep in Munich!lol - I don't know why they were so bad live.

Anastacia was good in Holland tho! she knows how to get the crowd going.

I love Live, but lets just presume for the sake of argument that they're nobodies...

Who, with any decent reputation, is going to want to be a support act? All; these big bands and acts you supposedly talk about have their own tours to do. Once people have made it, they're not going to go back to supporting.

It's like Bon Jovi going and being the support act for one of the modern rock acts like Creed - it ain't gonna happen.

You have to be realistic with who you can get to support. Live are a decent band with an okay reputation who will warm the crowd up, I think people should be satisfied with that.

I still KNOW they are an amazing band live which is why i stick around - i don't call it sad to acknowledge quality in light of material sub-standard of that.

to everyone else the point is that the band chooses bands that are WAY below them in ability and quality so that they don't get upstaged...

however moscow scenario, or even these days tour with van halen, vai etc:

have a support act that's going to give you a challenge. the crowd are usually there to see the main act... it's the support act's job to challenge this, and it's the main band's job to preserve this status quo.

i never said whitesnake would open, in fact the first 2 lines sort of gave that away didn't they if you care to read it...

i'll admit that Live are a 'big'-ish band, but there still no support act for someone like Bon Jovi.

DevilSon - you missed the point. BJ DIDN'T blow those bands out of the water... the point is though they were of a similar enough genre to be able to win some of the crowd over and keep the main acts on their tiptoes.

Therefore this statement is completely wrong- or should i say "absolutely stupid"... "Was this a reason not to take Jovi on tour ,no it wasn't.Your concluison is absolutely stupid."

and whitesnake could open for BJ... BJ just couldn't follow it. In EUrope yes they could... in Japan - well it would be different... as per south america if the band ever gets there again
How would i know when you extend to? you think i actually give a damn?. This is the first post of yours i have actually paid attention to simply because of how crap it was. Bj are considerd one of the best live acts you can see and even krb admints that. So what dont you grow up instead of these desperate attempts at raising your post count you sad little ****.

Whitesnake and Live are relatively comparable. Both had only ONE CD that did well.

Actually, Live may have had two.

Anyway, Whitesnake may be a great live band, but the fact of the matter is there popularity is based on two songs from the 80's. Plus, Tawny Kitaen starred in their videos which also helped.

dont be silly mouse, you just made yourself look like a fool

Whitesnake were massive both in the late 70's, all through the 80's and then onto the "MTV Friendly" version, which is the Whitesnake you are thinking of

have you ever heard of Cozy Powell? John Sykes? Tommy Mooney? to name but a few?
