Default will richie EVER tour again?

I was at a steve vai gig a week or two ago (at the manchester apollo) and there was a guy sat next to me talking about seeing richie playing (at the same venue) and how good it was. I thought to myself this could be as close as ill ever get to seeing him, sitting next to someone who has! Basically i really wanna see him live! For the people who have been lucky enough, how good was he?

I doubt Richie will do another solo record, unless the band goes on an extended hiatus.

... The Manchester show was brilliant...he was so relaxed..taking requests from the audience, really laid back and joking about....great to see him as front man and to hear his voice all the time.

I've been dreaming about another solo album for years..he definately has the material emotionally...I think the problem with touring is the costs...unless the album does really well the record company will not tour it or they cut a tour short.

Did I hear that Richie subbed his last tour..so it could continue?...

He said himself publicly that the funds were cut during the touring of Stranger and he lost over a million dollars of his own money just to fulfil the commitments he had made to the venues and to everyone else including the band members. I'm not sure about US however that tour was also cut before he got to go to the States and then re-tour Europe as was his intention.

If only he had got together some of his live recordings he could have put together a GREAT live album at the beginning of the 90s and recouped even a little bit of that money, but I guess that just wasn't a viable option.

It's really really sad IMO.

I'll never forget his solo tour. It was the best I've been.

He wanted to come back to Europe in fall 1998, the venue in Munich already was booked, but he cancelled because he already lost money during the first part of the tour. The record company didn't support him at all. They even gave him another date on a day of a concert (Nürnberg) so he only could play 90 minutes there. He was very angry about this.

Liza, the show in Amsterdam in 1998 was recorded for publishing but it never got publiched. Probably also because of the lack of support through the record company. It also was planned to release Made in America as a single but this doesn't happen either. The video for this got filmed during the show in Cologne.

He has another solo record ready already but can't publish it until another break of Bon Jovi.

Richie's Shepherds Bush gig in '98 was my first ever concert, and it was fantastic. Richie was amazing, such a great voice and superb songs. Would kill for another Richie tour!

The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

Cant see there being a brake for a long time yet , not while they are on a roll like this.

I don't see any solo breaks yet....I'd love to see a Jon solo show as well though (esp. if he brought out some old forgotten songs from YGII...lol).
