Hahaha.

Why the heck wouldn't he want to?? Like, he may find some of the notes hard, but that doens't mean he doesn't wanna play them.

And his pants are mine, Oli. We have been through this before. <3

I think Jon loves to play the 80's hits frankly.
I think he sees Prayer as the best thing they've ever done.

im not sure on that one, i mean he didnt want it on the record in the first place, maybe its grown on him. His favourite did used to be BOB but i guess now it aint played that much hes not such a fan. He definatly loves wanted though, so does richie. Occasianaly with runaway they seem a bit "we've done this too much" but all the other 80's hits have loads of energy

For starters, I think that story has been WAY OVERPLAYED over time.
But, ignoring that, listen to how Jon talks about the song in that recent 60 Minutes interview. I think he views it as the symbol of the band's lasting legacy.

Jon doesn't want to be associated with Hair bands. He only plays 80s songs because it's his only legacy (musically).

That's not true at all.

He plays them because the crowds love them, and when the crowd participation is good, Jon enjoys playing a song. If what you were saying was true he'd play a shitload more songs from the nineties and we wouldn't get songs like Blood On Blood, Wild Is The Wind, Raise Your Hands or Living In Sin. None of those songs are part of that legacy.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Living in Sin was a success, released in their peak. None of the other Bon Jovi albums reached the popularity of Slippery When Wet and New Jersey.
If Bon Jovi don't play their 80s songs, I'm sure their tours wouldn't be successful.
