why wouldnt they play prayer , bad medicine , bad name , BTBMB , wanted , IBTFY , etc etc? They're the songs that made them big , when you see U2 you expect to hear one , where the streets have no name etc.

Nice songs, but most of the people will not remember them as great songs of the 90s. These 90s songs were released when they weren't 'in your face' and didn't care about fashions anymore. Bon Jovi wasn't getting millions of new fans anymore.

I think the flow on these albums is excllent. For me every song is in the right place.

The only album I can see performed in its entirety is SWW. It would be the first choice. Just because it's their classic, and every song of it has been performed live before (with the exception of "Without Love" I think). And actually I think it would work, though it's no concept album and no way near Pink Floyd. But it would work. Who knows, now that the boys have done it with LH...

If Bon Jovi don't play their 80s songs, I'm sure their tours wouldn't be successful.
Well yeah, that's stating the obvious. But itl doesn't mean that Jon doesn't enjoy singing them. It's got nothing to do with it.

Salaam Aleikum,

It's pretty dumb really, if they don't want to play them. Why would they not want to play some of their best songs, but they want to play Captain Crash? They have more "taste" than that, surely.

Occasianaly with runaway they seem a bit "we've done this too much" but all the other 80's hits have loads of energy
Didn't Jon once say he could live without performing "Born to be my baby"? And I could live without that song, too - I like it, but it's much too overplayed. But somehow he puts it in neraly every single show for the past 8 years. He probably thinks the crows loves it, and plays if therefore.

Its a good song on the album(which song off NJ isnt) but live i dont mind either way, and i dont think jon likes it because he wanted it too be accoustic and the record company made it what it is now.
In reply to Jade, well jon did write all the songs so he does kinda have a right to choose what he goes out and plays, i guess it depends what mood he's in.

Of course, it's his choice. I just don't get it. If I was him, I would want to play the songs I know are my best. He knows which ones they are.

First off best songs aren't always hits, and secondly best songs can be an opinion matter, to some extent.
