If the prices for this tour are the same as they are for the New Jersey shows, will you be going to see the band?

Absolutely not. Though I must add that even if the prices go down I sure want to hear something about the setlist before even considering going.

As much as I love the band and seeing them live. I've already seem them several times before and I can't justify buying tickets at this high price. I hope it's just for the Jersey shows.

Also an important factor when deciding whether to see them or not.

I think that this is a pointless poll - you can't compare ticket prices for events like this to standard tour prices.

It's not totally pointless. Who says it's not going to be "event like this" every night on standard tour, pricewise that is.

I don't see a 5 night stint as an "event". There will be nothing special about these shows. With the very rare exception, Bon Jovi has never done anything overly special at New Jersey shows. I don't think any one going to the shows are going because they're all excited about the opening of a new arena. Who cares about that?

Well they charged lots for events like this in the past, such as the Borgata shows, but then toured shortly afterwards and ticket prices were lower again.

I don't know about elsewhere, but I think that here in the UK, given that they play in stadiums of 50,000+, they'd never sell out shows if they charged these prices, which the promoters know, and which is why they don't charge so much. The standard admission tickets for the last few tours have, I think, been around £30, with gold circle ones being a bit more - and I don't think that is expensive, though that can be a personal opinion.

As I and others have said, the reason these Jersey shows are so expensive probably has nothing to do with Bon Jovi and everything to do with the people who built the place wanting to get a bit of money back on their build.

But that would indicate that Jon has no say in ticket prices, which is completely ridiculous to think.

As I said, if Jon really gave a crap about his beloved fans, he would have told the Pru to stick it, and gone down the street to Meadlownads and charged $45-$75 a ticket.

Greed.

OK, these aren't 1-off shows, given that there are a few - but the majority of people who'll attend will be big fans, so many will happily pay the price. When you have a full tour to book you have to keep in mind that out of a stadium of 50,000 people there's perhaps 10% who are big fans, and they'll probably buy the more expensive tickets for the pit anyway, the rest of that audience are probably more casual fans and as such won't pay all that much to see that show.
